@@SSaNNEE100 haha no they aren't. Cyberpunk was a bit of a miss but once they get the game fixed and bring out DLC they will start working on the next witcher. They've already confirmed it.

@@highlander918 you make some good points, but I think they have learned their lesson. I do believe that the devs of CD Projekt red really put effort into making their games, but the shareholders and marketing team fucked them over with Cyberpunk. I have a feeling that they will make a comeback with the next witcher, it is something they are very familiar with and don't need to experiment with too much like they did with Cyberpunk. We will see i guess.

TES 6 will probably actually look more like this, I think they may actually be using Quixel megascan assets. They used them in the teaser, and it's reasonable to use megascans on modern GPUs. The only thing hurting it is this GPU craze driven by crypto. They need to outlaw that fucking shit.

I'm amazed how detailed this environment is, the lighting and weather effects are breathtaking. I've started watching videos on how to use UE5 to see what cool things i can make as a hobby when i learn enough. I hope to make some cool scenes with old Tudor houses and lighting effects, and maybe some Japanese back-streets at night with lighting effects.

Id say that we are there or during next year. Skyrim vr came out 2018, and ive played it since november 2021, it crashes easily, but with unreals mods it is beautiful nd the wolves that were tiny pests before, but in vr they are some of the most horrifying things. In the caves you already know to be wary, but while looking at the scenery or staring at your hands the surprise attacks feel like they are real and the wolves are huge and scary looking.

@@Vieindra I've enjoyed a heavy modded Skyrim in VR since it launched. 1080ti to 3090 with Vive/Vive Pro/Index/Pimax 5KX/8KX. The point is: Yes, VR is super cool, but we are still several years from an open world game in VR looking THIS good. Dynamic foveated rendering and different FSR and AI down/upscaling thingies will help of course but in the end some big ass company has to commit to it with that AAA budget. I hope the PSVR2 sell like hot cakes so Sony and their competition fully commits and invest in VR.

Verry nice, even the far background (mountains) is super light. So what kind of software do you need to do something like this? For example I would like to take my DSLR and go out and take multiple photos to "scan" in a rock or tree into a virtual setting, then perhaps use Unreal Engine just to make some environments to take screenshots in. Can you do something like this without need thousands of dollars of software licsenes? Cool stuff but I feel like that's the hardest part of getting into this stuff for fun.

I've seen people mention elder scrolls, Witcher, and kcd. While this style would fit great in any of those games, it also makes me think of hemwick charnel lane/ forbidden woods from Bloodborne.
