Enjoy your posts. Watch them as often as I can. I'm 84 and the military retired after 50 years in heavy construction, never had a scratch. Fell and broke my back 15 years ago and all my retirement plans evaporated as I was falling to the ground. Now my adventures are your adventures. Some of that lumber Brittany slings around is pretty heavy, how much can she bench press?

The things about farmers, they are always busy, they never have exactly what they need every time. Their common sense can not matched, and because they know what they know, every body critics them. Tyler you and Brittany are doing great so do the other thing Farmers always do, try to rest for the next day because the rooster crows early

Tyler I think you are doing a fantastic job. Those who sit on the sidelines and complain can pack sand. I agree that the airshow is very entertaining and at the same time very annoying. I live in the glide path of the runway of Shepard AFB and this year I was ready for the airshow to be over. they practiced all week, and their lost duck used the top of my shop to blast my eardrums. He was so low I could look inside the air intake of the F-16 fighter. Shepard is a fighter training base, so I get plenty of air show 24/365. And the pilot was so low he scared my little baby Snuggles and I had to take her in the hose she was so scared.

The barn looks fantastic. Great job, love to watch the saw mill, there is something therapudic about watching a log being cut into lumber. The center of the barn where you have the 2x12 joists going across, and the floor put in on top, please add blocking between the joists to keep them from possibly tipping over from a sideways force.

Cool that there's an airshow going on at the base nearby...I almost got stationed there back in 1994, but ended up going to Pope (Ft Bragg now Liberty) AFB, NC, instead. I've seen the Blue Angels but not the Thunderbirds, which is ironic since I was in the Air Force. On another note, I bought a used camper last weekend; once I learn what all it (and I) can/can't do and I get a few smaller trips under my belt, I might head down that way during the winter. In addition to you guys, there's a couple other KZbinrs I'd like to meet and it would also give me a chance to re-visit my old (and temporary) stomping grounds in Biloxi...I was stationed at Keesler AFB for 7 months in 1995. You guys work too hard...lol. Take care and be safe...

Good day guys i totally understand that where you live the climate allows for different building practices then other places .......... here we drop way below freezing and get lots of snow .......... you have mentioned before that you barely get to the freezing point and do not get much snow if i remember correctly..... you also kept telling us as you were building the barn that you still had bracing to do so anyone who mentioned about the braces should learn to actually listen to the video...... you do not need the extra 4x4 post but to stop the stupid questions and comments ......... here you would need to have a row of 4x4 post to hold the roof up in the snow and all external wall on the barn would be solid from top to bottom to keep snow out and animals a warm place out of the snow and cold .........
