The Walmart towels are good for dirty work, like interior or tires! Nothing but high-quality will touch paint for me! I know that some people may be on a budget, but the quality of the rag really does make a difference!

I just mailed my credit card to the rag campany…really good towels there and i really like their 485 or 500 gsm towels … plus the variety of colors really help keeping from using the wrong towel for the wrong thing

On the towels with labels, it's actually possible to remove the part of the label under the serged edge after ripping the rest of the label off by using a pair of tweezers. Takes a bit of time and patience but it does get the job done.

Those Costco/kirkland ones are great. When they're brand new-- work great for wiping off waxes/sealants/polishes. Get crunchy quick but so cheap I don't mind turning them into interior/wheel/jambs/grill towels.

Most informative video. I had no idea that there was so much to know about micro-fiber. I just bought a pack from Costco. I found them to feel like they were treated or had some type of coating. They have been washed and still feel the same. I have other brands and none of them feel similar.

I’ve been using Costco micros for two years on my black escalade, no complaints at all, nice and cheap and get the job done. They feel much better after watch pan the organizers video on drying microfibers without heat. Made a difference.

I use those Walmart our Costco's for rims and undercarriage. Found a microfiber Chanel at Walmart bathroom rug and cut it into four pieces. Works great for muddy trucks

I've used the Walmart towels for interior work where I may need to toss the towel afterwards. I'd never use those or even the Costco ones on paint. The difference between the Costco towels and anything from the Rag Company or Josh's site or Auto Fiber or Cobra is night and day,

Been using Costco micros for years with no I’ll affects of any kind. One vehicle coated and one isn’t both work great for drying aids mostly.

I use the Platinum Series microfiber towels. This is what I first started with this is what I'm going to stay with. I have all kinds of these towels. Detailing, drying, washing towels you name it I have it. At my Walmart store they can't keep these towels in. They sold very well. The Walmart brand not so much.

@@10CPS I use the towels for everything basically. The newer towels they've come out with I wouldn't give you 2 cents for. There terrible. Walmart has started carrying Chemical Guys microfiber towels now. Not so sure about them. Never have used them.

I use the heck out of the microfiber towels on a roll from Walmart, they do an excellent job on the mirrors in my house along with other cleaning, great video, thanks Josh 👍😁

I've found if you rip the Kirkland tag forcefully and fast, it'll come out pretty clean without tag remnants in surged edge.

Correct, I'll give you another tip. If you use tweezers, you're able to completely remove the rest as well with no damage. Just a little time consuming, but with practice you'll spend maybe 10 extra seconds with this step, for a no risk towel. Worth it for me If you're confused how, you look for the end of the tag that has more "hanging out". Then you carefully pull those seams apart without ripping, and yank the tag in a straight line in the direction you're removing it. Just make sure no microfiber threads are also in your tweezers before you pull

Have always used Costco towels without a problem. Use Sam's Club towels for windows and other jobs besides paint. Always costco on paint.....Hobby detailer here

I hate their auto drive towels i used to buy them when I started my business and in my opinion it's a waste of money. I do buy the 40 pack yellow platinum once that claim to be 300 gsm and honestly they work great. I use them after a paint correction and they don't leave any marring or scratches so they work great.

Wal-Mart's Platinum products just came out with a drying towel. 2 for $10 they claim is 1000gsm. Similar in construction to the Liquid8r from TRG (my favorite). I bought the platinum. I like it too. Would like your take on it.

I use the roll of towels from Walmart specifically for glass cleaning. One and done with them. I have yet to notice any linting issues in this capacity

How do you wash your microfibers and keep them from getting course and scratchy? I have extremely expensive towels and I normally throw them in the wash with gentle detergent then dry on extra low and they're all super course

I'd recommend using one of the microfiber-specific deteregents. Towels come out noticeably softer and cleaner. Otherwise, use something like All Free & Clear, and wash in cold then tumble dry on the lowest setting your dryer has.

I just bought a pack of microfiber towels from Sam’s warehouse. They are members mark brand microfiber towels. They are 16x16 with 80% polyester 20%polyamide and chain to be scratch and lint free. They are really soft but they have a tag. Also they have no GSM. Could you get some of these and test them? I paid $16 for 36 towels.

How about a review on the new Platinum Series Twist Loop 1000gsm (2 pack) drying towels. They are the 87/13 but they are 18"x24" for $10. 🤷‍♂️

I used to buy the 80/20 bundles from Sam's Club. After learning about the percentages, GSM, sizes, etc., through videos like this, I have no use for junk (87/13%) microfiber like those shown. Now, I only use 70/30 for paint and glossy interior trim and 80/20 for everything else. In fact, I only use 70/30 towels for my contact wash, one per panel, after using a foam cannon and pressure washer. Then, 70/30, 650 GSM for drying. The fact is, I would not have been able to develop my system without gaining knowledge from people like Josh V., Obsessed Garage, Forensic Detailing, Apex Detail, and Cars With Keav. Thanks! I might try the 14" Coral Fleece you show. My products are expense and a smaller towel would be better for some uses. Sometimes I leave a new towel for a client for spills, folded with my card on top; they love it. They have to be square; just my preference. I fold my 16" towels (saying "microfiber" every single time is not necessary) in quarters, label the corners with a Sharpie by number, so I'll know if I've used that side. Then I place them folded by which color I use, how many of that color I'll need and the next, so the towel I need is always (mostly) on top. My setup is designed for square towels in a specific place. I don't think I could get used to rectangle unless there were something incredible about the towel.
