Apparently this is 2 years old, but it’s the first time you came across my feed. Great work!

I do not undertand why you don't have more subscribers. The content is educational, well filmed and edited + your voice is pleasant. That should be a winning formula.

@@catspawcustoms channels like yours just prove that YT does not care about quality of content. Fingers crossed that at some point the algorithm just clicks and you get recommended more. Can't believe I only found you yesterday. I'm watching so much woodworking content, you really should have shown up sooner. Good luck!

@@catspawcustoms Seems like with every one of your projects you go the extra mile after most people would call a project done. I really appreciate this and it pushes me to think more about what “done” really looks like.

It’s so easy to get close to the end and skip out on the details. It’s taken me a long time to get in the habit of taking the time to do it right.

This is about the max size of the project that I could do in my shop. Woud you be willing to discuss how you priced the jewelry box? Feel free to DM me if you don't wish to discuss this publicly, thanks in advance!

That's fantastic. The divider trick looks great, but yeah i won't be doing that on my table saw any time soon! I just got the same Wahuda jointer - any tips to make it sing? I've set it up to within .0025" across the surface but still find a bit of inconsistency when using it.
@catspawcustoms3 жыл бұрын
I found that the consistency is in the technique and it is really only reliably good to maybe 36” long pieces. If you go fast the surface finish isn’t good, but slow makes for a nice smooth cut.

Great work! I'm looking at making two of these for my twin daughters. What were the overall dimensions?
@catspawcustoms2 жыл бұрын
If I remember correctly, it was something like 20” wide, and 10” high, maybe 9” deep. But this was a sale so I don’t have it anymore to be sure.

Nice work and fun to watch your record of the process. I was wondering, where did you have your maker's mark (engraved brass?) plate made?
@catspawcustoms3 жыл бұрын
I made those myself. Search “acid etch brass” and there are tons of videos on how to do it. I use vinyl to mask and ferric chloride to etch.

There was a lot of stress in that wood. I missed the riving knife, my apology. You are lucky to have avoided a very dangerous kickback. Good job. I have had kick back twice in my decades as a woodworker, it is not pretty at all.
