The perfect pedal for shoe gaze, lo-fi psychedelia, prog rock, post rock. Love it!
@michaelcraig94492 жыл бұрын
What about rock and all psychedelic, not just lo-fi? Post rock does not really exist. Post, as used like this, means after. Rock and roll clearly is here forever. True freedom music in a true deep sense. Freeing the mind form the b.s. and cruelty of society, creating a better one. An ongoing process. So post rock will never happen.

Amazing demo. When you say wet, just means how much of pedal signal is mixed in with it. OK I am looking for reverb types to get it actually the wettest sounding, like drops of water, rain, etc. I heard this one instrumental song by this one band one time. Alright, this feels like it could occupy a similar space as the Dark World. Having played both, which would be more likely to find itself on your pedalboard?
@MrSlothrop4 жыл бұрын
Both quite different. The Dark World can do subtle, and the tone of your guitar mostly shines through fairly organically. Slo is a fun ambient pedal, but every guitar sounds the same through it and there's noticable latency - it feels like a synthesiser pedal, especially on rise mode.

Very similar to the Fathom which I adore. A lot of the same tones. Kind of an update or sibling of the Fathom. I am not a big fan of modulation added to reverbs and delays in the same pedal. I'll add modulation pedals as needed, but this one seems a little cooler and Walrus has made this an integral part of the pedal. I just don't know. Right now I'm on the fence with the Slo. The Fathom is still a damned good ambient reverb.
@bobisadrummer5 жыл бұрын
I'm more of a fan of the Slo than the Fathom. They both have modulation, but the Slo allows you to completely remove the modulation where as the Fathom only allows you to set the toggle to low.
@steverherb4 жыл бұрын
@@bobisadrummer Agree, since the Fathom is the more "traditional" reverb of the two, you'd expect it to have a "modulation off" option. Kind of baffling move by Walrus.
@bobisadrummer4 жыл бұрын
@@steverherb Yeah, I ultimately replaced the Fathom with an Alexander Space Race. Once the Red Panda Context v2 is released that'll knock the Space Race off my board as well.
