Really looking forward to the Space Mountain announcement. An S.E.A. retheme is the closest we will get to bringing back the moon. Although extremely unlikely, I still hope they also bring back the asteroid mining machine and restore the queue/voie stellaire to its former glory.

That’s the ONE THING I really hope they do. That soundtrack is iconic, timeless and done specifically for this Space Mountain! Unfortunately I was never able to ride De La Terre a La Lune and boy would I love to have that music blasting in my hears.

If a new mission inspired by SEA and/ or Jules Verne, I think that’s a given as the whole thing is still in place! The De-Velo-Citor can still be seen in the breaking segment, just with the lights turned off.

Space mountain needs a complete retrack, its almost 30 years old and very rough.

With the newer trains I don’t think it needs a retrack, or at least as much as others in the park like BTM. Space Mountain is inside hidden from the elements and 5 years younger than BTM. It does, however, have a system that could use with a big upgrade, that is the launch catapult that requires the cable change every 5/6 months.

Been wanting to do disney paris but want to make the most of it realistically when will fantasy springs open flying in from the states so i want to get my moneys worth, paris is still paris but i mean theme park wise.

I think you’re mixing some things together. Fantasy Springs is opening this year over at TOKYO Disney Sea, not Paris! This expansion of Walt Disney Studios is set to open sometime next year, most likely on the second half of the year, and with it will come the lake, Frozen land and new areas

Not at all, Tokyo’s Fantasy Springs will open with 3 mini-lands! Of course, wait for Disney to announce an opening date or even part of the year! The “late 2025” is a mix of rumours, some facts and speculation!

Disney have been teaing SEA at Disneyland Paris since 2022 at the D23 Expo. I wonder if the Space Mountain overlay will be linked to Aya, the SEA astronomer who has a letter in the Adventureland Treehouse at Disneyland?🤔

Oh that could be very fun! I love small details and Easter eggs, having Aya in Adventureland Treehouse is such a cool little thing! There are so many possibilities with SEA in Space Mountain, what if The American Gun Club could have some sort of partnership or even rivalry between SEA? So much could happen!

@@NathanHydra no idea on that, according rumours, the retrack is being considered for that time, I don’t believe it’s gone too far from that yet. What is important to note, is that Tokyo’s new Space Mountain appears to be manufactured by Intamin, which would be a crazy twist! Intamin was considered for Paris’ back in the day but couldn’t deliver with the sizing restraints, maybe they can now!

Indeed, that’s exactly why Tokyo’s SM being Intamin is such big news. It means they are now able to build in the same envelope Disney needs it. I would love to see an Intamin launched coaster retrack for Paris’ SM

I’m a huge Star Wars fan and just can’t justify HyperSpace Mountain. It was meant to be a temporary thing with projections only and not many other effects. It makes no sense in the steampunk, Jules Verne themed dome with the Columbiad Cannon on the side. Rumours suggest a full on Star Wars land is being developed for Paris, this would be the best case scenario!

Segundo os rumores, uma land do Rei Leão acompanhará o Frozen no lado esquerdo do lago do Studios. A land de Star Wars será para o parque Disneyland, atrás da Discoveryland. What's the deal with the Beauty and the Beast on the poster? Can we expect the announcement of a full-blown dark ride at Fantasyland like they have in Tokyo (batter than Magic Kingdom) and that was initially due to open in 1992?

I hope you're right that they'll make a Space Mountain connection with SEA. However, when Nautilus came back after a very long refurb, they somehow did not connect it with SEA (in spite of the rumours). And to make things even weirder in the Nautilus, they got rid of Captain Nemo, and they replaced the giant squid with National Geographic sea life footage. Let's hope they do better with Space Mountain.

Indeed, the “update” to the Nautilus didn’t have the SEA subtheme it deserved, but does it need to? We know Captain Nemo was a friend of/ member of SEA so in a way, his Nautilus being docked in Discoveryland still plays an important role in the story!

@@themainstreetnews Actually, I do think the Nautilus should have received the SEA subtheme. Because now only a small part of the fans knows about SEA, but almost nobody of the regular mainstream audience has ever heard about it. The more they use SEA in a visible way (in stead of just being implied), the more people are aware of it. And such a cool concept / subtheme (that is NOT a franchise !!!) deserves the best treatment and maximum exposure. Now the Nautilus just looks like a retro futuristic National Geographic attraction. Even the head of Captain Nemo was removed from the iconic organ. Such a shame they wasted a unique opportunity. Let's hope they don't do this twice when they bring back the moon in Space Mountain.

Not necessarily haha. I would say that, seeing a big part of the event will be the concert, it’s possible that is referencing the classic movie’s soundtrack rather than a new attraction or show, would love to be surprised!

Studios doesn’t have a problem with the amount of rides but rather the quality of these. The biggest problem, however, is there isn’t space. This expansion will change that, with the amazing promenade and lake with entertainment and just space to relax and enjoy your time, something impossible in WDS.

Lest be honest, the before and after images after 18 months was not a huge difference. Disneyland was built in one year and a day. It now takes Disney three times as long to build something three times as small.

It went from a field with a dug out lake to a huge construction zone with many buildings, theming and ride systems installed. Disneyland was built in 1955 when construction didn't have a third of the bureaucracy, safety requirements and so, so much more. Could they be faster? Yes, but it's not fair to compare it with Disneyland.

Me personally I didn't love the Steampunk decor as I don't think it's very Disney and definitely doesn't suit the attractions around it. I'd strip that out and go for a more full on Star Wars aesthetic.

Great video! So excited for this conference in juts a week's time!! Walt Disney Studios is deserving of a rebrand, because it is no longer the trainwreck it was when it first opened (btw I would love to see you do a full history of WDSP, plus its future 😃) Hopefully the new name acts as the signal for major investments into Studios Park-A LOT of removals, new lands, and some serious immersion (was just looking for it around Studios Park, couldn't find any 🤣) Excited for Space Mountain's retheme too (fingers crossed!)
