On one hand, it's good to see all these beloved characters alive and well, but then you get that moment of "Wait... does that mean Waluigi can't win after all that?!" But then Mario pulls out that smash invitation, we the viewers are just as surprised as Waluigi. Congratulations, the mad geniuses behind this trilogy managed to give a story where Waluigi commits smash genocide a happy ending
