Agatha said “The Scarlet Witch doesn’t not need incantation,” it means she doesn’t need to cast spells, speak in Latin and stuff. Wanda can easily copy what Agatha is doing. Like how she teleported just by seeing Agatha teleporting. That explains how she casted the runes on the hex easily.

Yea Wanda casting the runes on the “hex” walls was dope, all the shots she missed when they were witch fly fighting were all intentional misses cause she didn’t have to know exactly how to cast spells (cause it’s all just come from her mind, being able to just think and create and magic) so just looking at all the rune spell pictures in Agatha’s basement so she just wanted those and made em. I loved this episode!! And then she was astral projecting herself and Dr Strange-ing the Darkhold... 🤯
@LeoP20083 жыл бұрын
I was SO mind blowing when I realized it. She was "missing" Agatha like it appeared but was casting Runes, offering her power to Agatha to stall for time. You even see some obvious "misses" during the fight where she purposefully tosses her magic at the Hex. AND at the start of the fight, on Wanda's first miss, Agatha looks at Wanda with confusion so even she was suspicious of what Wanda was up to. Agatha consistently belittled Wanda so it's also likely she underestimated her during this fight, as well.

No closure at all for darcy. And most importantly they threw away Evan Peter's as just some random neighbour called bohner instead of something interesting like nightmare, mephisto, multiverse quicksilver or something else. Sure they could resolve that in future shows and movies but they could have at least teased it more instead of just cutting it at a dead end. They purposefully pit them against people they couldn’t defeat with brute force, Wanda fought a skilled witch who absorbs magic, and Vision fought a perfect copy of himself (or rather he’s the perfect copy). From "jordanman" else, but also, the whole show was not a barn burner, it had very little reinvention of the wheel, and the reason those "things i've seen before" happen is because they actually work. I mean how many times did an army invade russia in winter? Just because it happened before doesnt mean people pay attention and learn. So yeah, appealing to the vision inside of dlc vision is what you would do if it was your brother trying to kill you. You saying you would rip his head off and drink its blood like a cup? Agatha was clearly more prepared and wanda could not beat her with traditional means, sure the agatha set up was an obvious foreshadow but if you want to include a witch that steals powers from witches what are you going to do? Have wanda appeal to the vision inside and have vision beat agatha to death? until she realizes he is going to attack her and just teleports away? The reason it was lack luster is because the entire series was lack luster, it was retreads but with those characters in those stories. So it was fine. But it was never going to be blowing your mind. What she means is that she didn't mean to enslave them . But gave up her family once she realised she was. The "scarlet witch" is a nexus of chaos magic , so no matter what wanda will always have a problem controlling her powers and such if she is around people she will cause suffering. But then as the person "wanda maximoff" she has to go against what she is and what she desires most so people won't suffer . She did not purposely cause the suffering , it was her power reacting to her emotions , so the only thing wanda is guilty of is being alive and feeling pain , because she was always going to what she is , which is a nexus for chaos magic , just like she is in the comics. This kinda thing is what led into the avenger planning on killing her just before house of m started , it wasn't out of hate or malice , just the fact that stuff like this happens as long as she lives even though its not her fault.

@@WeAreTheDraiken I call bull, throughout the show from the time The woman who was Doddy briefly broke through in episode 2 to Wanda admitting she controls them when arguing with Vidion, she knew dang well what she was doing, she just refused to admit she was torturing them until they were literally screaming at her how much they were in pain.
@WeAreTheDraiken3 жыл бұрын
@@seanmcloughlin5983 Just because the women broke through doesn't mean Wanda knew what she was doing in an active conscious way , if she had been in a right state of mind non of what had happened would have happened. What your implying is that Wanda actively released her powers to control the whole town , when that's not what happened , she was in grief then her powers busted out , even the fact that her powers have never been on this level is evident of that , I highly doubt with all the emotional turmoil she would have had the ability to even turn off what she was doing , its only after Agnes made her come to terms with her feelings is she finally able to turn off the Hex. Further I want to point out that the whole show is based upon the comic story-line where Wanda has a mental breakdown and losses control just like in the show , in the comics it was the stress of losing her children , and Kevin Feige said that before they made the show they consulted with professionals on the kind of behavior and reactions people have to grief , even the fact she was unsure of piertros actual face is a testament to that. in the end the real truth is , she is a vessal for Chaos Magic with her mental instability and the fact she's practically lost everyone , Father ,Mother , Brother , then finally Vision , with added fact she can create reality basically out of nothing (what she made was real , such as Hex Vison was actually made from vibranium) , the best thing to happen is for her to stay in the wilderness away from anyone.

This series was an excellent exploration of grief and how, when you’re going through that, any shitty actions you do as a consequence to relieve your own pain feel absolutely justified even if those actions are causing others pain. In your/Wanda’s head that pain, or agony, can’t possibly compare to the pain of your own loss and grief...and therefore it’s justifiable. So having the Visions solve the fight through philosophy was just perfect. Can I just say how perfect Wanda looks like as the Scarlet Witch? Very scary. Sure, she's out there and isolated, but she's busy learning dark magic! After that ending I'm absolutely expecting her to return next time as the villain. @Human Just She is aware of the fact that she mindrapes citizens of Westview arguably from day one, but tries to suppress and forget it, pretending like everything is fine. In episode 3 Wanda throws Monica out for breaking the illusion, acknowledging the situation. In episode 5 when she comes out, she is definitely aware of what she is doing. In epsiode 6 she outright asks Pietro if he really thinks that what she is doing is not morally wrong (her conscience is deeply troubled by what's happening). When she tells Monica that she is a villain in episode 7, it's her conscience speaking again. You may assume that she is not fully aware in the sense that Wanda thinks that citizens are in drone-like condition of bliss and only in episode 9 she realizes that they are in deep pain. But even if that was true (and there is a possibility that she was aware), it does not change much. She hijacked their lives, made living people with feelings and aspirations into sitcom puppet slaves against their will. What about relatives of these people unable to contact them? If the story was from their perspective you'd absolutely hate Wanda Maximoff despite her backstory. Wanda is the villain here, I can't see you reasoning out of it. Also your logic about the toy is weak. "Everyone is a hero and a villain at the same time" is a postmodernist concept that happens to be a sophism: logically true, but in reality false. Being a complicit in an evil system is wrong of course, but there is such thing as gradation. Wanda's actions as an individual are magnitudes more harmful and, yes, evil, than actions of an individual buying a toy.

Hayward wasnt trying to free that town though. His whole reason for sending someone there was a missing person's case. He had no clue about the hex until Monica reported it back to him. It was the same reason he provoked her in the penultimate episode by saying "Not everyone has the power to bring their loved ones back online... excuse me, back to life."
