Great Tutorial. Thanks for it! Is there a reason, why you do the double crochet in front of the chains and not around the chains? Wouldn’t the pattern then be seeable from both sides?

Thanks so much! This is the traditional way to work the technique but you could go around the chains of you prefer! It would change the texture of the work slightly and wouldn’t technically be mosaic then but it would still look really lovely I think! 😊

Spike stitches would work really well with it too but they’re not technically mosaic crochet and the blanket wouldn’t feel quite the same. I still think it would look lovely though! 😊

This is beautiful but now I'm confused this is different than what I have been learning about mosaic crochet..I have not see it done this way before..but it's a great tutorial..I have questions on the A rows 🤷🏻‍♀️ she is talking about

So glad you like it! Perhaps you’ve been looking at overlay mosaic perhaps rather than this inset method? What is it you’d like to know about the A rows?

@@hanjancrochet3553 yes I guess this is first time I have seen mosaic done with inset..are you going back and forth or do you cut your yarn after each row like overlay...are the A rows a repeat row? Going the opposite direction?

@@hanjancrochet3553 most of the patterns that have been crocheting have x in the dc box. Maybe I just haven’t get use to those ones without any X yet. 😁😁 but for my preference I like X for DC 😁. My eyes focus more better like that. Thank you so much for your kindly response. ❤️❤️👍👍😁😁

Thank you for an easy to understand tutorial. But the chart is too small to be useful. It needs to be on a page by itself with no text and be able to print it landscape. As it is now, the squares are too tiny.

Hi Kathy, thanks so much for your feedback. I can absolutely make that change to the pattern but I'm always keen to make the patterns as condensed as possible for the sake of saving printer paper and so on. You can always crop and copy the chart and add it to the size of page you'd like to print out. I'll definitely add it to my list to do though :)
