Over the years I’ve come to see the great value in not training to any single area of extreme specificity, as a more broad & balanced approach tends to net the best overall results. Of course that changes to a good degree if someone is an athlete in any particular sport, but even then a more balanced training approach often results in better outcomes & lower risk of injury. PS: Those crooked glasses in the beginning had me wanting to reach into the screen to straighten them. 😂

Strength: 2 Endurance and Relative are aight Cardio: 3 Stamina/Endurance aight Flexibility: 1 Keep trying to do stretches and keep giving myself massive back pain for days after. Can bend myself in half standing up, but it's not worth it. Emotional Control: 4 Just jaded/Marcus Aurelius Meditations. My power level is maximillion pegasus.

My Power Level Is Max, thanks for the very informative video! I think my stats might be 1 Strength, 1 Cardio, 3 Flexibility, and a 3 or 4 in Mind. With this in mind, I think I might want to start doing some Relative training and see if I can go for a solid run here and there. Thanks again for a way to measure my stats. It kind of makes me feel like it's a video game.

psychological Self control is insanely beneficial in training. If you can tell yourself to ignore pain, you can push past your limitations much easier. Mindfulness of your own limits shows you how far to push before you HAVE to stop.

I won't lie, the intro actually made me feel kinda good 🤭 Not feeling like my power level is max at the moment as after all this time, being fully vaccinated and being so careful etc I've finally caught the damn Coronavirus... someone I work with came in for 5 days after testing positive because even though we get full sick pay he'd rather "be at work doing something"... So while I'm feeling lousy, I'm still making sure I enjoy the downtime as much as I can and practicing thankfulness that I'm doing pretty ok despite being overweight and asthmatic! Love the videos Jax, keep on doing what you do!

I'm 320lbs 6'4", can't lift much, but I have great endurance. But i think my 5 is mental, apart from emotional control, my health is directly tied to what I tell my body to do, I haven't been sick in years, but when I did become "sick" a few months ago, I had the sniffles and a small cough, but never did I feel weak.
@maxbaugh93722 жыл бұрын
Your comments about mental/emotional control remind me of a moment in the climactic battle of the Dark Tournament arc in Yu Yu Hakusho. Toguro, the villain, has powered up to 100% and is consuming the souls of the audience to stay powered up. One of the good guys makes a comment about how Toguro has been turned into a monster, and he retorts: "Don't sell me short, yes my demon body has these instincts but they quickly fade to nothing *unless I choose to act on them*"

I’m a heavyset, sit on my desk all day, kind of person. And all these things that you talk about our things that I would like to have in my life. And to work on. But I don’t know where to start or how to get there. And I also worry about how I can achieve them when I have chronic pain and joint problems that I’m still trying to get diagnosed. And how that will impact my desire to have any kind of physical fitness. I would love to work towards and get to a point where I can feel like I have freedom of movement- being able to climb jump swing, all those kind of animalistic movements you you see in anime and media. Things you might see in parkour as well. But I just don’t know where to start at all. There was never really a time in my life where fitness was a thing that was instilled in me or talk to me outside of a short time where I was enrolled in a martial arts school as a kid, and then had that taken away from me because we moved. And now I’m adult I live in an RV and move around a lot and I don’t know how to approach all of that and getting myself access to these tools that I would need while also being able to continue to move around a lot in the future. Ultimately I want a lot of these things that you’re talking about, but I have no idea where to start, which is the hardest part for me. And I also fear how trying to work towards these things might be impacted or stalled or negatively impact my health going forward. Ultimately I think they think I would like the most is pure freedom of movement. I just don’t know how to achieve that

My power level is max. I would actually be interested in a Yujiro vs All-Might video. I'm fairly certain All-Might before losing his strength in his final battle against All For One may take it just because of the huge amount of power he can exhibit but Yujiro does have the skill and tactics advantage and truthfully I don't know much about the Baki series outside of the anime so I don't know how high Yujiro's stats actually go. So yeah, I think it'd be a pretty interesting discussion.

Strength, taking into account my height and age (16 yo male, 5'6 130 lbs), maybe a 3 or 4 because that is my main focus I do a good deal of powerlifting, so absolute strength relative to my small stature is my best aspect and I'd say the explosive strength in my legs is alright, thanks to squating and deadlifting. Strength endurance, I can endure for a while too since I used to train with only calisthenics and high reps, talking like 400-500 squats in one go and even nowadays I can train for a while so I've definitely built a decent muscular endurance Cardio strength I'd say a 2, it's my weakest area but I wouldn't say I'm like tired after climbing a flight of stairs, it isn't shit but is my area of growth for sure Flexibility is a solid 3 , I make it a habit to try to stretch after every workout or if not definitely at night before bed, but I can't get into crazy contorted shaped like in those clips in the video, overall decent flexibility Mental strength, really hard to assess it myself 100% accurately so I'll say a 3, I can keep my composure but I dont think I'm absolutely zen like a rock mode. Overall, strength is my main focus, especially absolute and endurance, cardio could improve, flexibility is aight and mental strength is aight BUT could always be better It's only gonna be up from here though yessir 💪

Love to see you and Bioneer collaborate, his channel is fantastic. Yes, on the death battle video please. Guessing it's a debunk, which the more of those the better. I regard it as entertainment only at this point since they get debunked so often it's almost a category of videos in itself. Seththeprogrammer is a good channel for that. I respect that they're still at it and are pretty funny. However when someone says "so and so won in death battle" i usually roll the old eyes. I'm only familiar with Baki and haven't seen that particular one yet.
