I carry a 19 well but shoot the 17 better. I had a 48 but it just felt cheap. Outside of competition I don't see the benefit of a 34 or 35. The 26 and 43 are obsolete, and honestly the 47 makes the 17 obsolete. There are better guns than Glock in my opinion, but Glock would still be my choice for reliability and commonality of magazines, parts, and accessories.

As a duty gun and a gun I would go to war with it would probably be a G45 MOS gen 5. It has the front serrations for press checks, the ability to add an optic without sending it off to be milled and having that full sized 17 frame gives you some meat to hold on to for some control. If they had a 19x MOS I would have chosen that but the G45 MOS seems to fit all the needs for a duty gun IMO.

My first pistol was a Glock 26. It was ok, didn't really enjoy it as a daily carry for several years until the P365 was introduced. That gun changed the game for me and EDC it very comfortably, I forget it's even on me and its 14rds (magguts) in the most small and slim form factor while remaining very accurate. Plus option for thumb safety for those who prefer it. Perfect for summer carry and in winter time, I drop the FCU in an Icarus frame with XL slide and it feels and looks like a whole new badass gun. Funny enough, owning the P365 made me appreciate my G26 more. My G26 is now just an awesome range toy that I experiment heavy on due to part availability and prices. I turned into a G26L with a custom 19 slide and barrel with 19 x gripped mag. It's been awesome and have grown really fond of Glocks. Next on my list is Glock 47. The interchangeability with my custom 19 slide will be perfect for it. Still don't enjoy double stacked Glocks for carry since I'm on the slim 5'10 side but as my house, range, and duty/outdoors pistol, it's absolutely perfect. For EDC carry in 2023, I just feel there's so many more options that are just as reliable so it comes down to personal preference. They should also be priced more around 500-550 tops, they'd sell more for those who are on the fence and first time owners who aren't trying to break the bank on something they're completely unfamiliar with.

Personally Glock 26 fits my hand better because 43X is too slim. Another pro of 26 is the 12 round capacity with OEM magazine. With 43X you would have to go aftermarket magazines or extensions, which is something a lot of people are not comfortable with. G26 still has its place, especially now the MOS version is available.

Been using Shield mags gen 2 the bad one so I hear for two years and a couple thousand rounds without a single hiccup. Now PSA has 15 round mags for the 43X and you don't have to change the mag catch with those. Both make the 43X a formidable carry weapon. Add a 48 slide and it can double for home defense. I'm very pleased with the 43X and I have shot all the top contenders. A lot of nice pistols on the market these days . I also like the 19x . It's on my short list.

Small slim single stack polymer pistols tend to feel fine as one-handed grips are concerned, but they don't give much real estate for the support hand to apply pressure -- and I only wear M size gloves! Can't imagine Mike's XL/XXL mitts having an easier time! I have a PPS M2 that has great ergos and actually shoots very accurately, but I don't get nearly as much support hand assistance on that little pistol as I can on, say, a G19 or P-10C. CZ P-10 S seems the right size if you want smaller frame but want to be able to get both mitts on the pistol. That's about what the G 26 is, like a P-10 S, isn't it?

First gun, I went with the Glock 47 MOS. Wanted to then get a carry-size, and did a a lot of online and in-store research, and narrowed it down to Sig 365 Tec, which was real nice, also a Walther PDP which fit my hand perfectly, but was a bit too big for carry. Hellcat was another option, but just after having the Glock 47, I went with the 43X. I originally wanted something different, as to me, it's like buying a car, I after spending money, I wanted to have a new feel, not just a newer version of what I had. But the 43X fit perfectly, it's a great size for carry, and no need to relearn a "gun-feel" as I'm already used to the Glock feel and angle.

CZ P10 series. Right now cheaper than Glock and perfect out of the box. Sights ✔️ trigger ✔️ reliability ✔️. Why spend $800 on a Glock after needing so many aftermarket parts just to compete and in my opinion still fall short of a stock P10C. Baffles me how people can still back a company that has done zilch as it comes to listening to their base...how long do people need to ask for better stock sights with no response. Shouldn't need to change 3 or 4 parts immediately after purchase. At that point, its trying to box outside of its class.

Good video and info. And being glock heads..... we are always thinking and intertwining gen's, frames, sizes, magazines, sights, holsters, interchangeable parts, uses.....the whole menagerie. What is the next slick idea we can come up with? This video in combination with a year old video of yours put a bulb over my noggin..... Your older video I am referring to is the Radian Ramjet review (which I have researched a ton and mine is on the way). And in this above video, (other Y.T.ers out there do it as well).....discussing the relevance of the Glock 26/27 size, with all the new sub-compact offerings out there. The Radian & this video collided and hit a button..... Ding ding ding.....bell rung and bulb lit. See what ~you~ think. (This will circle back to the G26) The Radian set up adds length to the G-19 slide, making it equivalent to a G-17 slide. Benefits of the radian seem to be worth the price amongst most reviewers. But that first point; it does enlarge the profile of the slide. May or may not be an issue for some. My thoughts still brewing: As of now, it's not in production, but I'd bet its coming..... The Radian for other Glock models and calibers. I can imagine how one would be on a snappy G-23 .40. Continuing my thoughts into one for the Glock 26. Essentially making it a 19 sized slide; and using 19 mags with an X-grip spacer..... BAM ! Now you have a G-19 overall profile and the Radian advantage. A G17 mag and spacer....Would that be like a comped G45 profile? And where my vision initially went to was the G-27. In non-grizzly country, that is my hiking pistol with a G-23 mag, x-grip spacer, and Buffalo Bore or Underwood woods loads, making it a little spicier. ( Not an issue for me. I carried and qualed with a G22, & 27 back up, for 20 years). But..... To have a G-23 ~profile~ with the Radian comp for warm .40 woods loads to me would be the cats meow! It would fit in my small discreet Hill People Gear chest rig perfectly, or on my pack as well without being overtly large. When called for in some areas and Griz Country, it will be my full size 10mm. ((oh man.....Radian that!!)) But where I was going was that as the industry is evolving with some pretty cool accessories, that is really opening things up, and could be of value bringing some old school tools, back to relevance and good service, like the ol' staple G26. I was on the fence about going to the Echelon and possibly away from my gen 4 G19. But being in a "15 round" state, I can't newly possess the 17 & 20 round mags that would be the big benefit of the Springfield. I could get 15 rnd. mags for it....but why, when I have the G19. So decided to stick with that (and Shield plus compact in 10-13-15) for primary CCW's. And now discovering the Radian and having some grandfathered G17 mags I am excited all over again for my G19. A Radian and FACTR mag well on the way to continue with minor mods already done. And I am dreaming of a Radian set up for my G27, and for those who can turn their G26 into a flat shooting G19 capacity & profile....... Love the channel, content, and your expertise !

Damn. No love for the .40s? I still love my Gen 4 model 22 and Gen 3 23. With that said, I really love my issued Gen 5 17. My agency is in the process of transitioning to the 17 MOS with the Aimpoint ACRO P2 soon. Great information none the less.

I started with a G17 gen 1. I have also used the G19, 23,26,27. For duty / off duty carry I prefer the 19. Now that I am retired (a long time) the only Glock I'd consider is the 43x with a RMR cut and shield arms mags for daily carry. Until I decide to get it I'll use my hellcat instead.

Another is the glock 32 .357sig. That thing is a hot rod. The next glock I want is the 45 or 19x, i really wish glock would optic cut the 19x. Its a really good looking pistol

It’s probably been said, but I’ll say it again. The G26 is a great back up for you LEO and Mil guys/gals. Most guys carry a 17/19. I carried a 45 for a short time. Having the ability to run the same mags on your back up, as your primary, is huge. I run Sigs now. My primary is a 320 XFive. But if shit hit the fan, my back up (320 XCarry) will accept the same mags. That means I can tuck my back up and it not be noticeable but if my primary goes down, I can still get into the fight. The G26 does that same thing but for Glock carriers.

Ive carried a 17 for a very long time. Ive finally made the decision to switch to the Gen5 19 simply because it just fits my palm much better than my 17. Ive also carried the 43X for some time now and when I draw from IWB I simply dont get a good grip on the 43X module like I do the 17 or 19. Finally admitting to myself that the 17 module just doesn't hit where the 19 does, I switched my EDC to the 19 and I judt absolutely love the feel of the 19. It just fits perfectly. In my hand and inside my waistband. It really is the perfect pistol in my opinion. The 17 and 45 just extend a lil further in my palm area than the 19 does and therefore I quit carrying both.

To me the 26 is almost perfect. I can actually shoot it well with the little finger wrapped around the bottom, and I have some Pearce grip extensions that only add length in front. For my body type the longer grip of the 43x is harder to conceal than the thicker 26 with a shorter grip. Have you tried or tested the SLR magazine extensions? They are solid and much smaller than the bigger Glock with the same capacity. I also put the striker control device on them. No need for a long description but to me they add a lot of safety.
