She looks younger with your updates! I love color analysis, and yours is an interesting take. I love wearing color combinations that are unusual, and this one was Absolutely Gorgeous. Love the soft, almost gray sky blue, along with the raspberry coat...and her cooler toned hair was fantastic.

Seasonal analysis is not accurate enough. The colors recommended are 96% wrong - scientifically speaking. Bright colors overpower her. You can test that easily: when you look at the image with her, what do your EYES see first, and where do they go second?

I don’t agree with the cooler red. I think it makes her more pale. Also it might be science based but it’s the same with a Mondriaan painting, the real ones are prettier than a computer generated. The same with perfect symmetry in faces, we don’t want perfect symmetry but it should be slightly off. We don’t want or need perfection. I think it’s the same with colors

@ I do, but have you ever seen those perfect symmetry faces of celebs where they mirror each side of the face? It’s perfection and perfect alignment, but what is prettier; the perfect symmetric one or the natural one? Just trying to set a point of view
@ellaraystyle
@ellaraystyle 3 ай бұрын
symmetry and harmony/alignment are two different things, especially when we speak about frequency. Frequencies are neither symmetrical nore asymmetrical, unless you distribute, for example, sound frequencies in a system - you will be able to see symmetry or asymmetry. Healthy sounds are symmetrical while unhealthy ones are always asymmetrical/broken. Same principle applies to light waves, as well as face symmetry.

@@ellaraystyle clear. I prefer the natural beauty over the computer generated, theoretically and robotic perfection. The same with love; someone can appear totally perfect but it’s their little imperfections that makes someone unique to me and fall in love with someone. Chasing perfection can create beautiful things. And it can also cause discontent. Also, what do you think about other pillars to style than color? Like body type, face type and personal style?
@ellaraystyle
@ellaraystyle 3 ай бұрын
I am a big advocate for natural beauty. And I believe everyone has their own definition of what that is. How would you define "natural beauty"? Other pillars like body type, fabric type, pattern type, style type, face shape, and visual weight all play a role in how you look, what suits you best/is in alignment with you. I have developed my own system for each of these pillars to offer the most accurate results for wardrobe, hair, and makeup. I base those in my experience/expertise as an artist, designer, brand consultant, and scientist.

Another very interesting video! According to your research would all the matching colors be based on the root skin color? For example would all the matching colors for a person with a blue skin root color be blue based?
@ellaraystyle
@ellaraystyle 4 ай бұрын
Thank you. The matching colors for a person with a Blue Root Skin Color will depend on the SUB Root Skin Color and they would follow the human color harmony rules, so not all of them will be blue-based. This idea might be coming from the seasonal analysis which recommends "cool" colors for someone who has a cool undertone. My system doesn´t follow this idea or the concept of undertones as it is too generic and not true - not based on science. This is not how your innate coloring behaves or how human color harmony works.

@@ellaraystyle Thank you for answering! That sounds really interesting and I would love to gain a better understanding of your work. Are the sub root skin colors the 2-3 types of each root skin color like for blue for example: blue, true blue and cyan? And could you explain what you mean with "human color harmony rules"? Are those genereal guidelines that always apply or rather highly individual and depending on the specific eye color, hair color etc.?
@ellaraystyle
@ellaraystyle 4 ай бұрын
Yes, those are the Sub Root Skin Colors for Blue RSC. Human color harmony rules are very different from color harmony you have heard so far like complimentary colors, analogous colors, warm vs cool colors, etc. Those are generic guidelines that have been developed for design, art, etc. and they were just applied to personal style without asking whether it is really true for humans. Based on my research, the general human color harmony rules are directly linked with your Sub Root Skin Color. And then there are also highly individual human color harmony rules that are influenced by your eye color. While the seasonal analysis seems to ignore or neglect the eye color in their color recommendations in my system your eye color is one of the main driving forces for your innate color harmony rules - and the reason lies in the biology of how our eyes work and are created in terms of color.

@@ellaraystyleHow fascinating. Do you plan on making videos about those topics in the future as well? I assume that could be very illuminating. I've seen some videos of your in which you explain how you determine someone's root skin color. But how do you determine someone's eye color? Aren't our eyes made out of a lot of different colors as well?
@ellaraystyle
@ellaraystyle 4 ай бұрын
Thank you! I determine someone´s eye color with my Eye Color Chart. Some people have only one color/frequency and some have multiple, like myself. In that case, I just look for every color I detect in the eyes and determine the Sub Root Skin Color of those. Sometimes it is one Sub RSC and sometimes they fall into two different Sub Root Skin Colors. This would be very typical for Transition types (like myself).
