@Talk To Me in Korean I want to learn korean because for me is the most beautiful language in the world. I can't explain the irrationality of it, but when I listen korean it makes me happy. I enjoy dramas, korean music ( no just kpop, I love the ballads, traditional music and even trot music) and tv shows. Is not just a want for me, it feels like a need almost. I want to enjoy things that I can't right now, like Korean literature. I just love Korean.

Korean sounds very pleasing to the ear. I sounds like a very continuous language, like there are no stops in between. It has similar intonations to my mother tongue, Tamizh. So it makes the language significantly easier to learn.

Why I want to learn Korean has evolved/grew over the years (read in order) - K-pop/kdrama - like the language and culture - want to be able to express my thoughts fluently in Korean - travel to Korea again and this time able to explain to the cashier in Paris Baguette it was a misunderstanding! - explore job opportunities that require Korean skills (hence thinking of taking TOPIK exams..) - lastly, I wish to explain all the above in Korean one day when someone asks me why I want to learn the language!

I really like this one Korean girl at my university. She is my motivation to start learning Hangul, and I believe that this would help me communicate better with her. She went back to South Korea on the 11th of November to enjoy her semester break and would be coming back by the next semester next year, so I am planning to at least be able to smoothly read Hangul sentences by the time she’s back, and maybe speak a little Hangul as well. I’ve currently passed the stage of memorising the basic vowels and consonants, as well as the consonant-vowel-consonant word structure and their pronunciations, now moving on to more advanced word structures like double consonants and the pronunciation changes for the 받침.

Chile... Korean people are not always polite 💀 there’s a lot of racism (mainly towards black people) and sexism in Korea. A study literally showed that 8 out of 10 males admitted to abusing their partners like 🏃 💨 oh hell nah, but don’t get me wrong I think Korean is a very cool language and they have a beautiful culture too.

Honestly, I had a girlfriend who was Korean and spoke English very well. We would still hit the occasional language barriers, but she was one of the sweetest people I have ever met. She had to move back and unfortunately we couldn't continue our relationship. While we were dating she told me stories and showed me pictures of South Korea and everything about the country seems incredible. I am only just starting to learn the language and we will probably never see each other again, but I know that one day when I visit Korea I want to be able to show the same love and respect she showed me. Don't learn a language just for a bunch of kpop idols you'll never speak the language with.

Steps 1.(or 2.) Learn Hangeul 2.(or 1.) Basic phrases 3. Grammar structures MAIN CHALLENGES 1. Korean is very different (structure etc) 2. New pronunciation and sounds 3. A looot of vocabulary Like in most of languages MY PURPOSE - Expand my mind and learn a new way of communication - Make the most out of my year in Korea - Brain training - Network with korean people and organizations GOAL To experience the internal growth and power of learning Korean language, opening millions of new doors of experiences with Korean people, networking and opportunities in my personal and professional life, visit Korea in 2 years. WHAT SHOULD I DO IN WHAT ORDER 1. Hangeul and phrases 2. Find a course to enjoy- System guideline 3. Acquiring. Music,dramas etc in Korean 4. Basic Verb conjugations TIPS 1. Learn a new grammar point or snack everyday 2. Enjoy korean media 3. Practice your pronunciation while you study!!! Super important. The faster and louder, the better.

I am a martial artist and have practiced Kuk Sool Won for the last 5 years. We count and use many basic Korean phrases in class, and I want to go beyond what I currently know and become as fluent as possible. My goal is to travel to Korea and train one day.

Around my house there is a store and there is a grandmother and grandfather who always try to Talk to me in English, I found out they are Korean , they are very caring towards me so I will love to return their generosity by being able to talk to them and put as much effort as they are doing to talk to me in English, the grandma told me that she will love to introduced me to her grandchildren which is such a great gesture given that I am Latina and we are taught from a very young age the importance of family and friends. Her grandchildren will come to study and she asked me to be friends with them and showed them the city, so given that I love their grandfathers I want to show them the city and helped them to get used to the new place, I was told that they also speak just a bit of English... that's why I want to learn Korean.

I want to learn korean because im genuinely interested in the culture & language. I do love kpop but that's not the main reason. I met so many korean people when i went on a trip to Chicago 7yrs ago. They were all so nice & ive actually stayed in contact with some of them. Becoming friends with korean people unintentionally made me want to learn their language so we can become better friends :)

The reason why I wanna learn Korean: [long story] So in 3rd grade, the last few weeks of school there was this Korean-Learning program and my mom decided to put me in it. The teacher there was so sweet and nice to me. At the last day of school, I decided to go up to her and asked her to write in my Year book :) She wrote it in korean and told me to read it once I learn korean. It's been about 6 years and I just now remembered it. I luckily still have my Yearbook she wrote in! I'm gonna start to learn it. :D

I want to learn Korean for a few reasons. I have started learning new languages in the past year, including Kazakh and Mandarin, but I recently discovered K-POP for the first time and fell in love! The culture, language, music... everything is so vibrant and exciting and colorful. I have the opportunity to learn Korean through my university and am excited to do so because it is considered a critical language and there is a great deal of potential for how I can use my new language skills in the future. Happily my youngest child has also gotten excited about K-POP along with me and I am hoping that she will take interest in learning Korean as she has with learning Kazakh.

I want to learn korean because I find the language very “logical” and poetic. The way the language expresses feelings, feels very accurate to the actual feeling itself when in other language (like mine, french) it feels like words for things don’t often make sens. For example I love the expression “내 마음이 들어요” it is absolutely the image of the feeling, when you say it.
