I'm actually shocked that i like the smallest home the best. The flow and they did a great job with that color scheme and decor. The ladder is usable, i keep my living room blankets for lying on the couch in a footrest, but i have a friend that keeps hers on a ladder.

Thanks for watching @ebo9963 Tri Pointe typically does a great job with the decor of their model homes. Thanks for letting me know about the ladder usage too! I see those a lot in model homes, so maybe your friend is on to something 🏡

Nice! I would prefer not to be backed up to a road personally. But that quick access to the pool is really great on our summer days for sure!

is there any advantage to buying a town house. It's a little cheaper but barely. there are stand alone homes at this price and I'm assuming town homes have a limit to which they appreciate before getting a stand alone home makes more sense. for the first home, by the time you're done with upgrades, probably looking at 480k

Hi @Puzzlite On brand new homes I see a starting price jump of approximately $100,000 from townhomes to single family homes in This Inspirada community. So KB has townhomes in the low $300s and SIngle family in the low $400s. Tripoint has these Townhomes in the low $400s and single family in the low $500s. So make sure you are comparing 2 similar builders when you look at price differences. On resale homes make sure you factor in any updates or design changes you wouldn't need to make with a new home. One of my favorite advantages to townhomes is someone being able to afford moving to a neighborhood they love when they can't quite purchase a single family home in that same area. Also there are many who specifically want the townhomes style of living for such things as less maintenance and upkeep. As for limits on townhomes value, I would say in general, it's not likely they become widely more valuable than a comparable single family home. So yes some limits in that way. But as you can see there are some brands of townhomes currently selling for more than other brands single family homes. Theres also luxury townhomes nearby selling in the $6-$800,000 range.
