@@leemo-artlemme ask you bro,is depression a state of mind or state of being??? I ask this because there has to be a stimulus to depression and identifying it will make things more clear and obvious to depression suffers.

@@Invalid_Format9 Short answer: Depression is both a state of mind and a state of being. Long answer: You're right that there is a stimulus, but actually, it's more like a series of stimuli. You then perceive and interpret all of the stimuli in a particular way as you experience it (state of mind). Through your interpretation and perception of the stimuli, your life takes a particular shape with your day to day lived experiences being quite unpleasant (state of being). You then end up in a cycle where your state of mind makes your state of being unpleasant, and with the state of being being unpleasant, your state of mind is unpleasant. The cycles keeps going getting progressively worse until you start to change something both in your state of mind and state of being. That's why in order to heal the depression we encourage those who are depressed to both work on their interpretation and perception and also to work on their lifestyle. Work on the state of mind (e.g. meditate, gratitude practices, journal) and the state of being (e.g. exercise, eat non-depressive foods, sleep adequately).

Maybe I'm a bit hard on myself but I don't think I achieved much in 2024 (both personally and professionally). Something has to give this year. Thanks for the video Leemo❤

M sure if u ddnt compare ur achievements based on someone's else u would find that u did achieve way more than you give urslf credit for🤷🏾♂️ but like LemonArt says "it is externally defined for you"... Don't beat yourself up Koki instead strive to be a better version of u daily rather than annually.. 😊❤

I hear you Aus Koki, and I don’t know what achieving much will look like for you but I definitely encourage you to be intentional about recognising and celebrating your wins. Recognise and celebrate your progress. Recognise and celebrate the person you’re becoming. That will help you insanely❤️
