So this is all you need to add to any drone to be legal to fly with RID? Are there better options, smaller/lighter maybe? Can you use this on multiple drones.. or need one for each drone? I see you say you can remove it.. just wasnt sure if we can now just use a single unit on diff drones as long as only one is flying.. or need one for every drone?

So what they say is hobby drones can use 1 for all drones, and 107 should have 1 for each drone, but with this option it would be impossible for them to know which drone it's registered too as the registration number is for the module itself, not a drone.

Do you have the STL files for the battery protector? That would be amazing to use with a self-powed buzzer embedded in the battery protector.

I have a buzzer in my capacitor holder but yeah I have the stl file, you can shoot me an email and I'll shoot it to you I have the 1100 and the 1300 protectors. [e-mail]

How does it work exactly: does it need Internet connection or btooth range in the field ? Thx

It uses just the Bluetooth and an app on your phone, there is a map that updates and so the phone needs internet for that to function.

You said it fail safed? What if your definition of fail safe? My definition of fail safe is when i lose signal my drone, quad, or my plane rises in altitude and returns to the spot I launched it. Just wondering, thanks.

My definition of failsafe is when you have a complete rx loss and the quad Initiates the failsafe mode, failsafe in my case is set to drop as I have no GPS on-board connected to flight controller. So the quad lost rx and failsafed to drop. You can have many different actions that happen once a failsafe happens, depending on your settings. Yours failsafe is set to return to home. Hope that helps.

Thanks for your helpful comment. In my experience I've seen so many people flying outside line of site soon as they drop the googles down. I get what you mean, but unfortunately it's not always possible to have a spotter on the ground watching everything. 107 work is different then what I was getting at, just wanted to show real world use of how good it works and what to expect. So we all now know you only stay within a 2 block radius or have a bunch of spotters all over the place....
