WANTED: PERFECT MOTHER | Full Movie | Drama w/ Dante Rivero, Boots Anson-Roa, & Liza Lorena

Based on the novel by Mars Ravelo and serialized in Pilipino Komiks, "Wanted: Perfect Mother" is described as a "light, heartwarming dramatic story for wholesome family entertainment." It is also National Artist for Film, Lino Brocka's directorial debut.
A couple, Dante (Dante Rivero) and Elsa (Liza Lorena), hires a new governess, Carla (Boots Anson-Roa), to care for their four children (Gina Alajar, Ariosto Reyes, Jr., Arnold Gamboa, and 4-year-old Snooky, who was introduced here). The governess quickly establishes rapport with the children and the husband, creating rumors of an affair. Before things can go wrong, Carla decides to leave.
However, Elsa dies in a car accident and Dante decides to remarry and get his children a new mother. Carla is the frontrunner among several choices, but the head servant (Caridad Sanchez) poisons the children's minds against her.

Watched this movie, during that time in 1971. Recognized Jay Ilagan and Hilda Koronel in their cameo roles. First time to see Hilda, when she was only 14 yrs. old as an introducing actress in the movie SANTIAGO with FPJ in 1970. So she's only 15 yrs, old here. Dante Rivero looks handsome and dashing. Liza Lorena is beautiful and sexy in her younger days, while Boots Anson-Roa's beauty looks angelic up to this days. Love Caridad Sanchez versatility in her acting. Remember those 4 kids: Gina Alajar, Arriosto Reyes Jr. Arnold Gamboa and Snooky, during those days and watch them act in their adulthood and have a family of their own. Glad to re-watch it after 53 years...1971-2024

Wow! Directorial debut of Lino Brocka who would later become a national artist. Same location as first scene at sa last scene highlighting that flower prominent in those days. Very wholesome and feel-good movie. Snooky steals a scene, showing a smart child and adorable too.
