Since I now own G6 myself, i can add some points for your comparison: 1) the side mirrors auto adjust as you reverse 2) the moon roof comes with its shade from Xpeng for free 3) Passenger seats have both heat and ventilation 4) It has a pet mode as well 5) Autopilot/Xpilot is standard 6) Summon, autonomous/remote parking are standard 7) You can stream apps even when car is moving, at your own risk & play games 8) No schedule servicing as well 9) Comes with free data of 5gb refreshed every month for lifetime. As much as i love Tesla (but disliking Elon), I hate to admit that Tesla comes with a lot of pricey upgrades that are standard in G6. After much research, Xpeng is a reliable brand that backs by VW and supports by Bermaz in MY and they are responsive to feedback from customers. G6 is just a better car to drive and value for money. Keep it up Wapcar!

Summon only works in China with XNGP in MY we only get remote parking exit (forward and backwards only). There is scheduled servicing every 20k km and gear reduction oil change at 80k km or 4 years

Thanks for your feedback. I really like the Model 3 (more energy efficient), but it’s stripped down so bare that I wonder if it compromises safety. At least the G6 has stalks and an instrument display, and 580 degree vision with radars to detect objects when reversing. Whereas the Tesla Model 3 only gives us a heat map of objects around the vehicle, and apparently does not detect some objects when reversing. I don’t mind the minimalism, and reliance on the screen and voice commands. But Tesla should at least make stalks and instrument display optional and kept all the non-vision sensors. The G6 is apparently almost as efficient as the Model Y and plenty of passenger room at the back row. Like Tesla, XPeng has very good software and keeps improving with OTA upgrades. So it seems an excellent vehicle. Do you know if there is a way for users to give feedback directly to XPeng? I understand this is possible for users in China but not sure about overseas users. For example, optimise the vice commands for Malaysian accent!

@ yes, you’re right about the Summon feature. It is only available in China under XNGP, whereas in MY it is only semi-autonomous level 2.5 Xpilot which includes the remote forward/reverse. Thank you for that. About the service, I’ve checked this with my SA from Bermaz and the car only requires annual servicing that is once a year, just to check that everything is still functioning or intact. And each service costs RM200++ if there’s anything needs to be replaced or add like lubricants. And currently Bermaz offers 3 years of free service.

@ i don’t know if this will go directly to Xpeng. But, under Account in the Xpeng app > if you select Contact us, you could write them your feedback via email. You could choose your feedback type such as Delivery, Product, Others or etc and provide the description of your issues and their technician will look into it. They also keep logs so you can track the progress. Hope this helps.

How is it driving around the corners? We have a volvo c40 at home, and the ride on the highway especially around the corners (dash highway) at relatively low speed 80-90kph is terrible. It always felt like the car is going to throw itself to the side. No confidence at all. 😅

It really grinds my gears when I see anything compared to Model Y and they quoted the 850L trunk space. Tesla measured it to the roof line. A quick 30 second Google search would tell you this. A 10 min search would land you on Bjorn's banana test. G6 and Model Y have almost identical trunk space. Come on automotive journalists

Now that you mentioned it, yes. The trunk space is very similar, with the G6 losing out just very little compared to the Model Y.

Model Y uses a different standard to measure the storage space. If you look at Byorn Nyland's banana box test, with the seats upright, the G6 can take 9 boxes vs the Model Y's 10. With the seats folded, it can take 27 boxes vs the Model Y's 25 + 1 (including frunk). The G6 gave priority to rear passenger space instead of the boot, which is often more practical.

Reviewer mentioned the sound system is “decent”, am unsure if he’s comparing against stock Y or something else. I’m no audiophile but it sounds a lot better with the 12 speakers compared to pricier conti and this adds to overall xperience while driving daily which is plus point.

Depends on your choice. But so far didn’t hear any problems from Xpeng G6 owners. Besides, you can’t compare between Myvi and Xpeng G6 as both are different segment and also did you think Myvi is better than Xpeng with lots of problems and also afraid about reliability data too.
