What I hate the most, is how much wasted potential there was. This could have been the reborn of WC3, make it popular one last time, even if partially as it once was in its early years. But instead it was worst than the game we had for decades at launch. They've fixed the biggest issues now, but it's so late I have no hope for the game ever getting the recognition it deserved once more. Its reputation is ruined for most people, maybe forever.

The biggest tragedy is that the game engine, despite all the many issues of the "remake", is evidently still enough of a plus that there are more and more custom campaigns and maps coming out that are made in Reforged instead of at least 1.31. Not even the custom game scene survived Reforged, man😭

Well... Sammy left... And a lot of old school folks were just laid off. I was no fan of Adham or Ybarra, so no loss there. But at this point, I can count on one hand the people still at Blizzard that I would trust (because I personally worked with them) to make something good. I miss being a Blizzard fanboy so much. I used to have groups of friends come over every Blizzcon. We'd order pizza and stay up all night watching the panels. I miss being excited about every single game they announced, knowing it was going to be amazing, since that's just what Blizzard did, they always made amazing games. It might be that I'm getting older, but I don't think I will ever be a fan of anything as much as I used to be a fan of old Blizzard. WoW practically was my teenage years, the other games were also constant companions throughout my life. The fall of Blizzard hurts me on such a deep level. It's like losing an old friend. It's a reminder that no Empire can last eternally, and that no King rules forever.

As much as the recent huge lay off's at blizzard by Microsoft are symptomatic of larger issues in the industry reaching critical mass, it does show that Microsoft is willing to be hands on, very hands on if they really think it needs to happen. So there is a somewhat reasonable hope that, considering Microsoft hard remastered and expanded age of empires 1, 2 and 3 and then made a brand new 4. That they would do the same for another well known granddaddy of RTS and other genres.

Man, you're really a champ for sticking to this once beloved, now turned utter garbage game, it's even sadder to see that they had a few very nice ideas on how to make it. I've been watching your stuff for something like ten years now, boy how much time has passed. I learned how to play from you and was even somewhat decent at 4v4rt with night elves, I remember meeting your muppets in bot hosted LTD games way back when (can't remember if it was Overclocked, Legolas or some other past regulars. I was always stoked to meet a niche internet micro-celebrity and I'd always vent to them my frustration over how dubious your LTD game is after so many years). It's been a wild ride. I would however rather drink bleach than give blizz the 30 bucks for reforged. Your videos scratch the itch for wc3 that I can never fully satisfy anymore. Thank you WTii! I have the SD version on my bnet. I bought Reforged in summer 2023 when it was on sale. Battlenet could not switch to the Reforged version after my purchase was completed. The goodies like the Warcraft consoles in StarCraft 2 worked, but not the game itself. So I made the WarCraft 3: Refunded. Great video. Its sad to see what they did with WarCraft 3.

I pretty much grew up with the Warcraft universe, having played the game when I was around ~5-7 years old and also having one of my parents play it. Made several friends playing the custom maps in ~2010... Still to this day remains one of my favorite fantasy settings ever, but man does it hurt to see what was promised and what we got in the end. Although part of me still has a sliver of hope that they might make it right.

I shared your video enough. Subbed. Modders did a custom voice overs for WoW, using real people, to add voice overs to all quests. That would've made the level grind so much more enjoyable. But when they were 60% done, Bobby said no you don't. Now we got AI doing voice overs for WoW. To me WC3 is the biggest bliz failure, because when Classic came out, WC3 would've introduced the story of WoW to new players.

I just started binging warcraft 3 videos to get my fix before caving in to buying Reforged (Which ill now wait to see what Microsoft does with it! ) Thanks for the update :)

I'm still waiting and hoping that they will remove Reforge and install Classic+, and revive that good old battlenet, which will have fewer bugs and in which there will be a lot of people. And that many custom models and campaigns will work perfectly.

Warcraft 3: Reforged is the reason i removed the blizzard launcher from my pc and gave up on their games. 4 years after i can't say they made me regret my choices.

Reforged is worth it if you plan on playing the Re-Reforged and/or Chronicle of the Second War mods - which you should!

There were no Wtii snake impressions this episode. Current drystreak: 5 It's not as bad as people make out, you touched on the UI / Map Editor improvements and 24 players was also a Reforged addition (it was part of one of the new patches while Reforged was in development).

So as someone who LOVES wow and really wanted to go back and play Warcraft 3 for the story, I am excited to hear they might try again with Reforged. I only ever played the original a little bit but the new version still felt clunky to me. So I hope that it finally gets fixed so I can experience this game for real!

This game is one of my all time faves and still holds up, what went wrong was Blizzard do not hold to account trolls and ass holes who join a game and leave or just quit when they suffer one tiny hardship during an attack. Change the system so more points are lost. It is a crappy sliding scale system that does not work which results in maybee 1 solid game out of 6 games.

So many, and I mean MANY, missed opportunities for this remaster. They could have added new playable races, made the game more moddable/easier to mod for additional fan content, and much more. It’s like they didn’t learn from other successful games and could have made the game more player- and fan-friendly. Warcraft 3: Reforged broke my heart four years ago, and it still breaks my heart today as a fan since I was a small child. I hope someday there’s a proper remaster, whether it be made by Blizzard themselves or fan-made. I don’t mind, as long as it works smoothly, plays well, creates new content that fans have been longing for, satisfies the fans, and delivers the improvements that it deserves.
