Who the heck were those undead dudes guarding Frostmourne? Some of the first undead to resist Ner'zhul, right in his own backyard, before Illidan cracked the throne. Those guys, along with immortal Mal'ganis, were truly badass. Imagine holding Mount Hyjal with those guys on your side.

I don't understand what happens starting at 28:23, does Mal'Ganis instantly pop up after you killed him as if he had infinite Ankhs of Reincarnation? Never saw that when killing him with Arthas.

Mal'ganis gains 6 revive things each 1.5 seconds , so if you kill him under that time 6 times , that'll do the trick.

You know, it's funny how Blizzard places an extreme way to ensure you use Frostmourne to kill Mal'ganis yet players still find a way to kill him without that.

In other campaign maps they gave an enemy hero divine armor (only 1 damage except chaos) to force you to get chaos damage to kill, but not making the enemy invulnerable so that you can still kill instantly with cheats. The 1.5 second mechanism in this map is different, but works similarly.

If you manage to kill Mal'Ganis before obtaining Frostmourne, he will revive by Ankh of Reincarnation. Each time you kill him, 3 or 4 Ankhs of Reincarnation spawn around the effecting Ankh. Internally he is given an Ankh of Reincarnation by the game every 1.5 seconds when alive, then you have to kill him 6 times in a row in less than 1.5 seconds to deplete all Ankhs before he eventually dies. After his death, Ankhs of Reincarnation keep spawning around his death spot. However, the mission will not be completed until Frostmourne is obtained.

He only dies if he has no ankh. He gets ankhs every 1.5 sec, he has 6 slots, so to kill him, you need to kill him and de plate his armory before he gets another ankh

Both Starcraft 1 and Warcraft 3 have scenarios like this that arent expected of you to kill all of the enemies, they learned from this in Starcraft 2 and actually have achievements for killing all of the enemies when merely survival was expected.
