Just mention the topic and let Bronk go, I love it. His depth of knowledge and the way he discusses and explains all of the various topics is fantastic. I haven't kept track of how often he's been on but I know I immediately watch every time I see that he is. There really should be an official monthly Bronk update.

Yeap, I live in Ukraine and I can't fault the discussion of this part of the world any time Ward does a show about us here.. There's a segment of pundits, who nominally support us that really do not do a good job sometimes. They feature people who spent several years in Moscow back in the day, and are sorta Russo-centric at times. You don't get that with Professor Bronk!
@dannydetonator26 күн бұрын
@irongron Couldn't agree more. Even those who morally are on Ukraine's side often don't know what they're doing or who they engage with. If anyone knows who is who out of talking heads, it's you (hopefully i do too by now). Note that not all who pose as "supporting Ukraine" (never mind those claiming to be "neutral") actually do. Also not all who don't explicitly state their support in their content actually don't. Can you give your opinion on Mark Galeotti and Vlad Vexler, plz.? 🔱Разом до перемоги🔱
@BigDaddyButthead9026 күн бұрын
@dannydetonator glad vexler is an Israeli British dual national oof Russian ancestry who chose to live in England because of massive benefit handouts for his sickness, he has a nice apartment in central London few could afford. He's a grafter and shouldn't even be in the UK.
@Hani-ls3wx25 күн бұрын
You really believe that the Russian casualties are higher than the Ukrainians? Yet the Russians have never stopped taking ground from the Ukrainians, who can't train all the new soldiers they need as they don't have enough experienced soldiers to train them. Yes I believe that too.
@irongron25 күн бұрын
@@dannydetonator Ahh, Mr Galeotti, he falls into the nominally Russo-centric type of pundit, he's ok with most of his analysis, but there is a part of it that is quasi-apologetic, mainly when it comes to the "Russian people" being co-opted into the war. The most problematic thing about Mark is he spent a lot of time in Russia and as he puts it "wants this ghastly war to be over so he can go back to visiting Russia" (he is banned currently). That is problematic in itself, as he seems to care more about "going back to visiting Russia" than the suffering, strikes and massive displacement of people here. The main thing to keep in mind with Mark, is that he is a classic academic Russophile and take that into account. Mr Vexler, I don't watch a lot of his content, but from what I have seen, I cannot critique him. Unlike Mark, he left Russia as a small child (I think he was 5 or thereabouts) and does not have this "Russo-centric" view like these pundits who spent a lot of time only in Russia as adults, but are not actually Russian. And of course, together to victory! Thanks.

It's not a shipyard problem, it is a government red tape, too many hands in the pot problem. If S.Korea wants to build a ship, they just do it. If the US wants to build a ship they have to beg and plead on capital hill for months or years to get the approval & funding, and then the manpower and everything else organized and setup.

I think the bigger news coming out of India is the announcement that there may be some defense production cooperation between them and Ukraine. Secondly, it's funny how we have conditioned ourselves to believe that any response from the west is considered escalatory while the Russians have literally brought another country into the conflict and since day one have been striking civilian targets without regard. Past time to stop caring about what Putin thinks is escalation. He sure doesn't seem to have that worry.

I'm with Jake Broe on that: They are a potential threat to the regime, for they are likely contaminated with the truth about the world outside the NK bubble - almost immediately a bunch of them tried to defect and subsequently was caught. I expect them to be treated the same way as russia treats its own defectors. Cant have that stuff come back, so the rest of them will be used up accordingly and russia wont have a problem fulfilling that wish. This whole thing is a stunt. Russia and NK want to stir the pot before the US election and provoke a reaction. I'm happy to see that its not working, Western officials arent talking much about it, they acknowledge it but thats it. 10k soldiers are like 10 days of human supplies at the rate russia is losing soldiers right now with over 1000 per day. Its by an large irrelevant, like Justin said.
