Cool video guys! Glad to see you like them. Definitely the little help prevents them from bending and forging you to change on the trail where you are. The tie rod is the weak point still, just the wear will be forced in the inner. You should notice the clunk and bang of a loose inner tre. So instead of a boomerang on the trail forcing a fox, you should be able to get back to camp, home, or the shop for the repair. Happy wheeling guys!

I installed the tundra rack on my truck (Tacoma) my tie rod is hitting my coil over when turning either way. Is there anything you could suggest to fix it. Very annoying haha
@ClassyTacos4 ай бұрын
It could be a couple things, some lower control arms push the wheel forward so depending on what you are running, could be that. Next could be the position of the rack, maybe it's to far back in the cradle. Could also be the coils you're running some coils will interfere because of their design. Thanks for watching.

Should have also put anti seize where its matters most on the threads. If water get's in there, the shaft may be okay but the water will run down towards the threads especially due to the tie rod angle.

I have never had a single nut on my tie rods get stuck, ever. Yes, typically goes on the threads. I had some on the threads of the outer Tie Rod. Thanks for watching.

Thanks for showing install! So what’s the new weak link before the rack goes?
@ClassyTacos2 жыл бұрын
The unsleeved section of the tie rod then the rack. Thanks for watching.
@NoItsNotTyler2 жыл бұрын
I believe the sleeved section can still bend but the sleeve limits how much the tie rod can bend.

Nice way to beef up the weakest point on a taco, my concern is have these been tested out in the trail. Meaning as the tie rods are not so much a concern with the sleeve... what else might give? Not knocking on the design pretty sure I'll order a pair soon. Just the thought that passed my mind

Valid concern, this is all just a hunt for the next weakest link. Thanks for watching.

I'm concerned that the rack will be the next weakest point. ($$$$)

Did this affect how a allighment is performed on the vehicle?

Alignment is done the exact same way as before, using the front/rear cam bolts. The tie rod sleeve nut is now what tightens down the toe adjustment. Similar to stock when it was just a nut. Same concept. Thanks for watching.
