Into the xenos meat of the captain's log; you were right yet again, Narrator. How nightmarish, as to befit a Blackstone - oversized, therefore naturally hostile, worms combined with the primal, mortal fear of asphyxiation. And throw in phobia of invasion of facial orifices, too. These Sepolcrali sound like the most horrific worms in the 40k universe, and that's saying something. I picture the Genesis Project-evolved space bacteria left in Spock's funeral-escape pod on the planet surface in Star Trek III: The Search For Spock...whipping up man-sized tornadoes. But can those things survive in space without atmosphere? Anyone tried; anyone? How about good ole Vulkan FIRE as remedy, did that get attempted against these particular sandworms? From Drake's description of the Cythor's face I do visualize one that looks like a stagecraft theatrical “tragedy” mask of ancient Terra. It's so alien, in its abstraction to human nature, despite the eerily common, eerily humanoid body shape of the Fiend. Yet, “mantis-like” - insectile heritage? What transpired during the captain's encounter was so unexpected and unfamiliar that it took me a pair of audio playbacks to mentally visualize what in the Imperial Palace happened between the xenos being and its device. With “Mister” Cythor turning into Mr. Glass, what became of his item? I presume it was inside of the crystal form, if still on the Cythor' Fiend's “body”. Also, I wonder what size of a mobile crystal this tall, slender humanoid apparently transformed into, if not some equivalent to a stalagmite, rather. I wonder because I'm intrigued. The creature's parting gift in Drake's neck is scary in its unseen, unfelt invasiveness and further mysteriousness. All of these disparately different 'rooms'/chambers/halls within this Fortress describe by the rogue trader's diary remind me of trap rooms in the film Cube, but typically 40k-enormously sized. As though they're each potential gladiatorial arenas, lying in wait. Now this was some pair of new alien threats with which to start really immersing into the unknowns of a Blackstone Fortress' secrets, GDN. Rushing right past disturbing into 'terrifying', these specimens give further credence to my assessment that 40k has to have the largest and most varied number of horror-level non-human entire species out of any fictional universe(s). The Cythor Fiend is the more fearsome of these two because the species is sentient, apparently could have built a former empire, and who in the galaxy knows how many of those spooky non-men truly remain in existence, out there? As ever, I highly enjoyed this series and am eager to strap in for your next entry on something unknown and horrible, Narrator. Thank you so much for delivering such a gift. Oh boy out of the two I think the Sepolcrali way of death is the worse way of going I keep thinking of the 80s horror movie Squirm and Cythor Fiend is like Aliens meets Warhammer fantasy crypt Ghouls."😃👍

The Sepolcrali seem like the type of Xenos the Thousand Sons in particular would find very interesting.
