Skavenlord Kettek looks like the other Skavenlord on the art cover from one of the previous Warhammer Fantasy Battletomes, only his armour's painted red. I do like the pose of the Genestealer Primus. Both models are good.

It’s a needle gun. They’ve been in the game since the beginning so they predate Men in Black by about 10 years.

skaven is solid, gsc is redundant. either way, we miss again the chance for a risky weird alt sculpt for both systems. last year's Rook stands as an exemplar of what this series can be

The skaven is a good design but it did not come out of the mould well at all. Looks like compromises had to be made with some of the details.

So I took at look at my gsc primus and I’m.. disappointed in the commemorative model. It looks fine mind you, but they just switched around the sword and claw and made the gun point out. The general pose including belt buckle is the exact same.

The Skaven model looks quite flat, like it is all made to have a very narrow profile like the old metal and resin models that are made in an old mould. It looks like it is a very narrow model. Not like new models that are made to be wide and fill their base. It is hard to describe to anyone who has not held an older model in their hands...

I think the Primus is a complete waste of time as a "special" event miniature and quite disappointing tbh. I don't object to giving GSC a model (even if they are a niche of the community) but man there is so much they could have done with it to make it interesting to people outside that small niche. It's so bland and low effort. I'd certainly not know it's a £24 special model if I saw it IRL.
