The change from agriculture to factories is the most dangerous time, but once the mining brings wealth, wealth can be invested in manufacturing. There could be a day when Congo makes it's own electric car with it's own lithium resources. The United States, Europe, China, lost tens of millions of people during this time of economic development. The difference is, there was no journalists to document it. There was no United Nations to save those millions who were lost since the 1850's through the 1950's.
