My fear is what happens when you are in the middle of nowhere, vehicle is REALLY stuck, and the remote for wgatever reason dies? Is there a cable remote as well? Any other way to operate the clutch?

I believe that you can plug the wireless remote into the USB port inside the Jeep.

I never got to the middle of nowhere. The wireless remote was DOA. It has been 2 weeks and counting as the remote is in the mail and has not arrived. They need to have replacement remotes readily available at the local Warn retailers.

Too bad the Platinum remote has a design problem. The battery should not do dead after 2 weeks when the remote is turned off.

I bought the Zeon 10-s NON platinum for the very reason that you say this wireless system is a "feature"....I did NOT want this wireless function. I wanted a manual clutch and a wired cable. This stuff is too risky.

My Warn Zeon Platinum 12S remote is DOA. I never even got a chance to use the winch. I am still waiting for the replacement in the mail which has been 2 weeks so far. This concerns me that it takes so long to get a replacement.

I debated, but I bought the Warn Zeon 12S Platinum. Some Smittybilt reviews are not great. My Gladiator Rubicon EcoDiesel is $90,000.00. I want the best. All it takes is one time that the winch fails when you desperately need it. What is your life and your vehicle worth?

Don’t buy one of these I have used mine once it has now lost communication with the remote warn can not supply the part I need to repair it after spending £2000 very disappointed with it get a winch that you plug in with remote
