@@John-X Because people are lame and trashed this album despite it being very good. So Billy's ego was hurt and like Billy does, he removed the album. He was quoted saying that if the album isnt good, then no one needs to listen to it (paraphrasing). Sucks. I remember preordering this album on CD in 2007. It is still an album i keep in rotation. Bleeding the orchard is one of my favorites, but the prog-rock "America" is a pleaser. Was happy to witness a lot of these tracks live.

When this song was released everybody focused on the fact that "it's not the Pumpkins" or "Siamese Dream was something else", and yet 17 years later this song is still a banger. Many people give Corgan some serious shit, but too many people tend to forget what an incredible musician, guitarist, and songwriter he is!

Every album almost has it's own subculture, My favourite is probably still Machina(discovered them through mellon collie), have another good friend since then, who discovered them through Ava Adore, which is still his favourite. I think pumpkins are versatile enough to encompass a lot of preferenes, personally I'm more of a dadrock/metal guy and the guy I mentioned above is a psychedelic/techno dude. So yeah we can't agree on Radiohead either .P

It’s hardly a trolling comment. I’m serious. He’s no dave Lombardo. But he fits in well with the SP. That’s all I mean. Meg white does/did her job for TWS to keep a beat so jack can flourish. It’s like ringo Starr. He doesn’t play like a fucking madman, he keeps the beat and the others just fall in. There’s a million musicians like that. They play their part and it sounds great.
@munchobuncho72825 жыл бұрын
Ken Biggs, your comparisons are unfair. It's arguable that Meg could barely keep a beat, is stiff as hell, yet Jimmy is fluid as hell with the fattest, thickest beats of any of the 'alternative rock' bands, in my opinion. And you're comparing him to a thrash metal drummer? You're spot on, he fits perfectly with SP, but that's because he directly influenced, transformed their sound the moment he joined them. Most drummers in similar bands can't make that claim. I love listening to SP for the drumming, he most certainly does not just sit in the back, he plays a bigger role while giving room at the same time. And ironically I don't think the drumming on this one is particularly good, but it shouldn't be used as an example of Jimmy at his best.

I don't want to fight Every single night Everything I want is in your eyes You and me go back To places I don't know to care The spoils of all I got were left for scraps Don't let me say this But you're no worse than me It's crazy We are as real if real ever was Just because we are the real, they feel we have enough We are the real 'cause someone gave us up I wanna be there when you're happy I wanna love you when you're sad Can't stand the morning rain? Get out, I'll take your place then Can't stand the blazing sun? Then close your eyes, you'll see The angel dust I don't wanna be anything believed A million watts of sound can't compare Come along, you'll see the world The pulse ripples, the crowd unfurls The current starts to flow, and then you're on Oh, it's the white hot soul they want To sing for We are the real if real ever was Just because we are the ruin of every living soul We are surreal 'cause someone gave us up Don't break the oath I wanna love you when you're happy Don't break this oath I wanna be there when you're sad Freeze-frame the pouring rain We are the real, as real as any ghost So easy now We are the real in every living soul Oh don't they know? Can't stand the blazing sun? Can't stand the morning rain? Ah, get out, I'll take your place again I don't wanna be alone I don't wanna be alone I don't wanna be alone, at all If it's a white hot soul they want Then a black heart they'll get
