Great video! I definitely agree with the point about restaurants being a tough business to start. The high overhead costs, labour expenses, and low-profit margins make it difficult to turn a profit. One thing I've seen successful restaurant owners do is focus on creating a unique dining experience or catering to a specific niche, which can help them stand out in a saturated market. It's all about finding that special angle to attract and retain customers.

Most businesses end up as “me too” businesses. The best businesses to start haven’t been thought of yet. Go read Blue Ocean Strategy and you’ll see what I mean. Otherwise you can just invest in existing businesses.

I tried and didn't fail in all of these, but the problem is, I had to break even or a bit more than even to be able to quit, and it costs time and a lot of stress. Absolutely great advice for new entrepreneurs or people who are interested in starting a business.

Most of the time I don't really like your videos because they are a bit of common sense to me, but this may also be, but some people really need to hear this. Everyone wants to start their clothing brands nowadays

Isnt clothing brand one of the best buisnesses because pepole always want more? I mean pepole say "Didnt you wear that outfit last month?"
@mbm86902 ай бұрын
Nope, clothing business is absolutely insane: too much effort in producing very low quality, plastic and unnatural fibers based on fossil oil industry, which is doomed, too many people engaged with inhumanly low wages and bad working conditions in the entire line of production. Way too much "secondhand" clothing ends up as landfill or as waste in underdeveloped continents, such as LatAm or Africa.
@zootoo92322 ай бұрын
@mbm8690 wdym. Pepole made good cloethes before they can make good cloethes now. I dont have to produce plastic products
@NyFloridaMan3 күн бұрын
@mbm8690 that’s exactly why clothing is a good idea. Too many people are either middle manning or selling very low quality clothing. There are more eco friendly ways to make clothing. Indian has already hopped on that trend. It’s not super big in the states yet.

Vintage clothing though. Just go to thrift shops buy them out, flip clothing and resell. The style trying to make a come back. People love looking old timely.
@AeroportHouariBoumedien3 ай бұрын
I don't fully agree with the first one even if i don't have experience at all, because for example, it's only western clothing brands that are filled in the market, but for example eastern and oriental clothing brands aren't explored as much.

"3 of the worst businesses you can start *today*". Congrats that you've made it but you should pay attention to details. If you'd do the same today, from scratch, in modern times, you might have had a different experience along the way 😉
@CapturedbyBongo3 ай бұрын
Very hard to do that now, unless you open a curry shop. Nowadays, punters feel happy and safe going to chain eateries and coffee shops - they feel secure because they are familiar with the brand. Even if the food/coffee is shite, they still flock to them 🙄
@mitsospiros3 ай бұрын
@CapturedbyBongo The greater the risk, the greater the reward. To succeed, you must fail and struggle but must always persist. My 28 years had periods of great difficulty, hopelessness, crazy and difficult partners ECT. Also had to deal with Covid. That was a bit stressful. But you have to keep chugging on.
