Agreed. Im biased but think the 997.1s in a stick will be future classics, even compared to the 997.2s. Granted they made fewer .2 sticks, but the last mezger and better styling make the .1s more desirable to me. The .2 had those goofy led dot LED taillights that were only on cars for 5 years that just look dated but not classic.

Sorry but without breakdown of the 996/997TT markets into manual/auto cars, your respective analysis is flawed and too generic, given that depending on transmission we are talking about both two very different trends and pricing points. Manual 997 prices for example have long begun to enter deep into the 991 territory while tiptronic ones are held back far below…

Thanks the feedback. The manuals indeed held up slightly better than the automatics during the last 6 months. With these high level market overview videos, I try to focus on the key trends. For this video, the transmission type difference did not make it to this list of key trends. Manuals are priced much higher, but price trends are still highly correlated to the automatic market. I will address this in a separate video.

found a 997.1 turbo for £56k 38k miles, been told to wait for the 991.1 turbo to come down and buy that, will the 997 come down much more or is it a good investment? I think the 996 turbos are a good investment and will go up, wonder if the 997 is a good buy yet? or wait longer for is to drop int the £40k area? thoughts? 991 will drop a lot more over time I think before it rises.

Hi, love the analysis! Would really like to see an update on the Ferrari market. Especially the F12. The volume available remains low relative to production and there is a huge price delta depending on spec and mileage. Is there a way you can adjust your models based on spec? IE there could be a $150k+ difference in MSRP for the same model year. Thanks and keep up the great work 👍

Thanks. I think I will update the Ferrari V12 segment during January/February. It is, unfortunately, very difficult to take the spec into account. The majority of the cars are not listed with their spec sheet or are listed with an incomplete/inaccurate spec sheet.

@@sanjaypatelmd4669 Similar to what I am hearing here, I went to the service department at a dealership closest to one of my homes and asked about a PDI on a GT4 at a dealership across from the Porsche dealership, while there I asked about the 992 Turbo S, he thought demand was Deteriorating and that the wait should not be too long. Now salesman made sound like it wasn’t and I could get one at MSRP, but he wanted me to buy another Porsche while I wait. I did fairly well when I sold my Corvette last year, I believe I got way more than I should have. I forgot about that when I posted earlier. What color Turbo S did you get?

Okay hold my 🍺 beer while do this J-turn. Humble 🥧 pie is a dessert best served warm. The run up was quick especially when money was cheap borrow. Not even Tesla could keep their prices high in the USA, henceforth they lowered MSRP by 20% in an effort to stay competitive with other market segmented cars. Porsche will once again force it's dealer to sell their cars at a lost just like they did in the not too distant past. Proof to this is the obvious amount of used 911's both my local dealership have on their lots. I have seen prices drop from $114k to $96k for a 2019 Base Carrera 4, 7speed manual transmission with 40k miles. Car is only worth wat someone is willing to pay. Money takes time to make, and we must take time to spend. What do you guys think?

How would you evaluate the following: I am particularly interested in the 2023 911 Turbo S Cabriolet which I have been following for the last 9 months and have to say that the 2021 through 2023 prices are significantly above their original MSRP...I mean insanely higher. Why? I ended up buying a 2023 for $40k over MSRP which is about where the whole US market is right now. 2024s are almost impossible to get and the blame keeps being on chip shortages and the end of Ukraine made wire harness . This will be my last Porsche. Don't get me wrong...I'll enjoy it fully but am still astonished at the pricing and suspect Biden has at least something to do with it. What is the current state of the late model 992 Turbo S and Turbo S Cab with low mileage market? And why. Thanks.

This is so funny! If the only way to afford a Porsche is to wait for prices to go down then obviously this is not the right car for your income. I personally wouldn’t buy any Porsche without a warranty unless you have several thousands waiting in the bank for repairs.
