I am 64 yrs old, and that has been taught my whole life that 98.6 is the norm. . My temperature is rarely 98.6. It is actually around 96. most of the time and around 97.3 part of the time. At certain points in my life dr's thought I needed my thyroid, my ovaries, and my gallbladder removed. If I had my life to live over, I would never let any part of my body be removed. You cannot remove a womans thyroid and her ovaries and expect her to thrive. Untelling what my average temperature would be if things would have been different.

Mine has changed over the years. It was 99.5 for YEARS. I needed surgery about 25 years ago. The surgeon wouldn't do it -- he assumed I had an infection of some sort. My primary care doc had to fax over copies of my temp from visits for the previous couple of years before the surgeon would believe me. 🙄 My average temp is closer to 98 these days. 🤷‍♀️

Possibly look into SPC and Control Charts. The calculations will determine if you are "stable" or a "special cause" variation.

Your question is not really a “yes” or “no” simple solution that can be easily solved on KZbin. It would require some detailed information and conversation that is beyond this platform. If you want, our office provides phone consultations for extensive concerns such as yours. If you become a patreon, and ask a question, I can also create a video just for you answering your specific concern. Our phone number can be found on my website: www.camarillochiro.com. A phone consultation lasts 15 minutes and you can ask as many questions as you like during that time and speak to me directly. This is the best option when there are questions that involve more than a “yes” or “no” type of answer. There is a fee for this telephone consultation. It is not free. Lastly, if you view my KZbin channel, there is an area called “Playlists” where you can find sections on topics that you want such as blood pressure, core strengthening, cycling tourism, etc.

I used to run roughly at 98 and change. After I did a long term diet of restricted caloric intake plus a 5 and a 7 day fast it changed. After my 7 day fast I've been running between a 95 and 96. You'd think that is horrible but I feel just fine. Confusing stuff.

It kind of is if you think about it. Since body temp fluctuates the medical community comes up with a range. If that range goes back by 1 degree. That means people who previously would have put on medication for medicine at lets say 96.5 will now be considered normal. We're talking 100s of millions of people.

Uh oh. Mine is currently 97.7. I’m 67. Should I start looking in Hospice care? I’d have to sell my house and my two motorcycles. No more fun for me. Hey - do you know my doctor. Dr. Putz.
