@ItsNotShakespeare Жыл бұрын
Luck is half wanting something and half getting something. If you don't have an existing need to fill, then you can't call it lucky when it arrives. So luck comes to those who seek and predict, and then get fulfilled. The more you seek, predict, wish and hope, the more pay-offs will be noticed and called luck

But after more observation they noticed even more, the winter equinox is called the birth of christ while the spring equinox is his death all the way to him coming back (sun starts low and ends up high). Aquarius being the water bearer because around that time it rains more. In fact all gods 12 disciples are just the 12 months of the year. God isn't real its just how ancient people made sense of stars. That's why there are over 1000 religions around the world that we think are different but have literally the same story, died on a cross came back 3 days later, born of a virgin, yadda yada. If god were actually real people wouldn't be born with life threatening disabilities and handicaps, innocent people and kids wouldn't be getting cancer, hurricans and floods wouldn't kill innocent people, jesus supposedly made fish and bread appear but yet there is famine around the world. Religion is holding mankind back from truly understanding the universe and it gives people and excuse to not do anything substantial in times of crisis but rather hide and pray.

I agree that luck and chance play into success, but both of these individuals put themselves in positive situations. Positive breeds positive. Not getting into Harvard may seem like a bad thing, but Buffet still went to Columbia - a top-tier university and studied with some of the best and brightest. Jay-Z was in the right place at the right time (away from the sting) because he put himself there. I think that chalking all of this up to luck or chance understates the positive decisions these 2 have made.
@Video-Games-Are-Fun6 жыл бұрын
kid i knew in med school a decade ago in london woke up one day in bed with internal bleeding for some reason i forget. he was dead a few days later. luck definitely plays a role but should not define us but to ignore good luck is ignorant. another guy i know in his 30s is dead from throat cancer (last year) and left his wife and kids behind. he just had bad luck in life. these things happen. warren buffet does not work out and does not eat healthy (see his diet video on youtube) yet he is alive at 88 (in 2018). that's also luck. you do want some luck on your side.
@joshuasiler63202 жыл бұрын
Yes but in Jay-z's case, he was there because he happened to have an opportunity at the point where a sting was happening. He didn't know it was coming. The timing of it was fortunate, the sting could have easily happened when he was around. That wasn't a result of him being positive and removing himself because he was in that element for a long time. It was just by chance that Jay-Z wasn't there at that point so I'd say luck was a big factor in his life.

Luck is partly by our doing and also by sheer chance. Furthermore, the remarkable thing about luck is that we cannot anticipate it. Even when we speak of 'preparation', we are referring to increasing the likelihood that our intervention will coincide with unknown events, leading to something desirable! We do not actually know exactly how that relationship will be forged, when it will be forged and the exact results! Certainly human beings can increase their luck, but in actual fact, luck is simply the reality that human beings do not have the capacity to entirely comprehend the magnitude of their actions. People who say they do not believe in luck, are in reality in denial about their insignificance in the larger scheme of the universe. Ironically those people would consider themselves to be pragmatists, when in reality they are delusional and overly optimistic. Luck ceases to exist ONLY when an individual becomes invincible and all knowing! All that the delusional can say is that they refuse to RELY on luck. Or that they wish to not fixate on luck having a positive bearing on their livelihood. However, whether they like it or not, they cannot do away with luck, it is bigger than them.

He lives comfortably modest with integrity respect an honesty good core values . Hes made billions using average to large businesses capital to invest into his umbrella of individual companies to generate business for one another while also staying intouch with the stock market using his investment experience to earn interest on the conglomerate capital so everyone sees a return. Basically he just wants to make businesses successful and he knows how to. Money hasn't made him happy making money with others for others makes him happy. Hes basically created a trust of businesses with good values in all aspects of society to be self sufficient hes a genius if he is genuine with his intent which i can not contest with conviction i will assume this man is. Revolutionary really. Dont get me wrong nothings perfect but this is a fair happy looking well working tight knit business model that can be replicated on almost any scale. God bless🙏🏼

Those successful people who say they are lucky are actually the people who are realistic and grateful and want to acknowledge the countless processes, people, events and the entire universe/cosmos working in harmony to make them successful. While unrealistic, self-centered and egoistic people love to take credit for everything they do when in reality they know they are just a breath away from death.

It makes me think, does being grateful for what we have makes us lucky? Is being lucky or not being lucky a simple belief, a perception? Or is it something totally out of our control? I believe I am lucky to go through hard times. Hard times teach us a lot. I can surely say that hard times are not always fun.
