Warren continued to grow in the twentieth century. During the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, steel production was a major industry in the county because of large deposits of coal and iron ore in surrounding counties. In recent years, many Warren residents have worked in local service and retail sales businesses. In 2000, Warren was Trumbull County's most populated community, with 46,832 residents. Many examples of late 19th and early 20th century architectural styles still stand in downtown Warren, including the Trumbull County Courthouse, which contains one of the largest courtrooms in the state of Ohio, and the Trumbull County Carnegie Law Library; in addition to office buildings, banks, stores, and homes surrounding the Courthouse Square area.

Yo youngin. Get your shit straight and hop in to real estate. Lots of opportunity out there. I grew up in warren heights. Left to philly in high school. Just randomly looked up this video and as an adult watching this video all I see is money. I got 330 440 tatted on because ill never forget where I was raised. Might come back on a business accord.

I grew up here, but left 15 years ago. Drove those streets all the time, especially the ones around the 8:00 to 11:00 mark, that’s the NE side of Warren. Went to the old Harding high school, around the 10:30 mark you can see Mollenkopf stadium on the right. I like how you used the 1812 Overture as background music, on the 4th of July the local concert band would play this at Packard Music Hall as the lead in to the fireworks show. Thanks for posting!

I live in Warren and honestly the only place I recognized was the street by the high school. Nothing else looks familiar at all. Some of those places look pretty run down which I agree has been the case in the last 10 years or so. We've gotten the short end of the stick as far as our economy goes with so many big factories and plants closing. I'm glad I've never had any problems where I've lived for 22 years. Lucky I guess. You did a good job filming though.

How’s the crime aspect? And are there any places to go shopping for groceries and other goods?
@ebbflow
@ebbflow 2 жыл бұрын
@@DynamicBailey oh well crime is not really all people make it out to be. I mean we live on porter street notorious for being one of the worse streets in the city. And when we moved in here 3 years ago it was pretty bad. I mean we had a legitimate crack house across the street. But you know we mind our own and had no problems. I had to put my foot down one time with someone cat calling my wife and made it very clear that we're not the right people to do that with. And now our street is beautiful. Houses being remodeled and renovated all over. Alot of beautiful homes out here for cheap. But they need some love. But totally worth it. All said and done we spent a 10th on our property including repairs on a home that was built in 1900. In Cleveland this place would be worth a couple hundred grand. Now as far as stores and stuff. There's not to much out here. Niles and the surrounding areas carry all the cool little shops and stuff. There's a few out here but mostly commercial establishments. Plenty of places to get groceries. Giant eagles every where and a wal mart not to far away. We have a really beautiful park and amphitheater. They hold festivals and concerts every weekend in the summer. We're really into music and trying to help bring some more art and music to the city. When we first moved here I'd loved it. I saw endless amounts of potential in a kind of run-down City. And then for a while I didn't really like it because it seemed like there was nothing to do out here. But now I really enjoy our home our piece of property the quiet quaintness of the city. Jobs out here arnt the best either. But if you keep looking eventually you'll find something. Other then that middlefield like 30 mins away has alot of industry jobs paying good. I'd call it a city in reprise. I lived in Cleveland my whole life growing up and I've lived in the bad side of it there and the good side. And the worst parts of Warren arnt even as bad as like Windermere in Cleveland.

@@ebbflow I left warren 20 something years ago and moved to Philly. Watching this has me wanting to come back for some real estate investments. I remodel homes here in some of the worst spots in Philly. Warren looks like a cakewalk. Whole block buying potential.

@@Jugg215 yeah there's alot of open places around here. And it's kinda being built up. I mean we have some pretty cool music fest in the park and they are putting in a new factory where the old Packard factory sat. But it's taking them forever. There's lots of potential here! I think it's a cool little town on the cusps of a come up. Another pretty but dilapidated town near us is Sharron PA. It needs some love too. Overall the people are pretty cool. Can't let some bad apple's spoil the bunch.

When you started out showing what looked to be Metro Housing, I thought ( going to be another one slamming Warren. I was delighted when you showed some streets I remember…have been gone for almost 30 years ( had to move away for work)…was great seeing the old houses, some craftsman style still around. Amazing there was a sunny day in January, I always remember it being gloomy then. Of course, it would look so much nicer in the spring and fall especially. Winter just doesn’t do justice. I miss Sunrise (bar) pizza, Dale’s pastry, the hotdog shopp, The macaroni & cheese at the Saratoga, and there was a place on high street, close to the old St Mary’s school that has killer ruggalaugh (sp??)--can’t remember the name of it. At least once a decade we have made it back and always get a pizza to go from Sunrise Inn. Don’t know if any of those places are still around or not. Great going along for the drive.

Raised in Warren and those sights are very familiar to me. But you must always be cautious where you are going in that area. Sad invisible line between just ok to very dangerous. Unfortunately that line is growing away from the so called middle class.

The problems in Warren Ohio and in Trumbull County as a whole is how these criminals are given probation repeatedly for the same crime..how can a person that is on probation be given probation again and again for the same crime ??.. Police doing a fine job but when you have a system that refuses to back you this is what happens..once a nice city turned violent by the courts refusing to hand out justice..It's time voters make a change
