The main Difference between them if you pay attention to HP bars, heals received and battle text is that Warriors get hit for less damage, Bears get hit left often.

Read this!! You CAN say, which tank is best (why does the bear have so less avoidance: 23,31 % vs 15,51 % and 14,28 % at 0:18???). I made a summary from damage taken: 1. 4:24 to 5:24: The Warrior got 21 hits with 54.986, so on average a hit with 2.618 damage, the Druid got 15 hits with 37.457, so on average a hit with 2.497 damage! 2. 7:25 to 7:52: The Warrior got 6 hits with 16.278 (not counting the1.872 absorbed at 7:25) with 2.713 per hit, the Druid got 8 hits with 15.878 with 1.984 damage! More expressive is part 1, because it lasts a full minute. But even with the armor flask the Warrior got a little more damage then the Druid: 2.618 vs 2.497 per hit (the 10 % less magic damage can't compensate this). That is the important fact! So under the consideration that the Druid has more health and gets less damage per hit (not considerated that the Druid will get the highest avoidance later) the Druid is the best tank. You don't have to compare the Paladin because with same gear as the Warrior the Paladin gets a little more damage (Righteous Fury only reduces 6 % overall damage compared with the Defensive Stance of 10 % and he blocks worse). Fazit: With least average damage taken per hit AND highest life pool the Druid has the best survivability (even without considerating the highest avoidance later).

@@thicks3351 They still do the best damage and hold aggro /threat more than Protection in full. Once again, full protection offers nothing for addiitonal threat, unless maybe you spam Devestate a lot. In fact, a Fury warrior with 'Fury/Prot' gear (e.g. hit, expertise, str etc.) can out damage any other class when tanking using AoE abilities. You just have to run with good dedicated healers who know what to do. It's far more smooth and enjoyable than boring as sword and shield, tab targeting sunders/devastate snooze fest and you're actually doing damage

@@SadisticStang Really feel the opposite. Devastate does so much dps that it leaves any fury builds in the dust. I get more threat and more protection by being deep prot, even for AOE (with a deep prot dungeon build that takes the cooldown reduction for thunder clap out of arms) and i've tested both in the last week. Either way, would be cool to see a video comparison.

tip for Prince: in Phase2 his "Parry" ability will deflect a melee attack and this also increases the speed of his next attack by 40%. so for first weeks, to prevent his "Parry", its better to not hit Prince with melee attacks that much, do only blocks and some shieldslams (for holding threat) and keep up sunder... you can spam thunder+demo cuz he cant parry these :)

My druid tank( without any naxx/aq/bwl gear) had 0 problems with threat or survivability at all, did full kara ( no nightbane) without full pre raid biss on first week, but warriors/tank even now got threat problems compared to me with my 70 hit rating and 10 expertise. For example i had to stop dmg on Gruul as OT even with 3 hunters MD on MT. So I dont know about what problems you were talking about tbh in p1 for druids. In my experience druids scales greatly in t1 and t6, t5 raids is much better for warriors and paladins, they got lots of very good items for mitigation and threat.

Yeah and he doesn't seem to know that druids can potion safely (ironshield potion) through macros, so anything this guy says should be taken with big grain of salt.

The macros below will always make sure you have enough mana are not on the global cooldown before using the items in form, so they are 100% safe to use so that you never get stuck out of form. The first is is a macro for potions. You can use whatever potion you want in there, in my case I use Mad Alchemist's Potion, but feel free to exchange it with Super Mana Potion or Ironshield Potion too. /run if GetSpellCooldown(768)+GetItemCooldown(13446)>0 or UnitPower("player",0)

The karazhan really doesn't do justice to druid tanks, also isn't defence meant to be a certain amount to be capped so you can't get crit from the bosses? Druid tanks are awesome BTW

What hit percentage were you running on both characters? Looks like lots of missed attacks

both are pretty low. i didnt focus much on hit other than gemming hit on the druid

At the beginning the druids can struggle a bit. But T5 and above the druids Will be stronger and stronger ending like real Beats

U only need 2 more Def to be uncrittable on the druid... and you're using a spellpower trinket. replace 1 ring with defense.

it wasnt until i recorded the footage for the video i saw it was the spell dmg trinket. im crit immune because of the resil i have and i was raiding with a fort flask on for 10 extra defence. but i would rather use elixirs

Warrior is more actions per minute from the player. Druid is more chill. You have to work for your threat as warrior which can be a good thing or a bad thing

Comparison video..says not scientific at start. Admits later that one has consumables the other doesn't. One is setup as a mitigation tank, and the other is not. Then proceeds to later advise that one is a pug one is not, therefore take it as a caveat. Not helpful... That said, Karazhan is two healers. Are you saying both your guest healers were terrible? As otherwise what does it matter?

I don't think druids take spike damage unless its magic. warriors and paladins take much more "spike' dmg. Bears are meat bags so we are gonna get hit... a lot

Agreed. I plan on having better gear on day 2 but part of that is having the PVP wrist/shoulders but I also won’t be wearing all that hit gear. You basically need to go almost full mit until you get some T4 on

I was wondering the same. The rings are the cheapest source of EHP available, and he skips out on them in favour of terrible threat rings. The druid tank was either set up to lose this, or this guy doesnt know what he's doing.

full t4 druid vs t4 warrior hands down druid wins on threat! in raids most healing done is over healing anyways so it doesn't matter. as a tank the main thing is damage mitigation and threat. both are almost the same in mitigation but threat department druid owns it! threat = raid doing more dps!
