This fucking masterpiece is the definition of underrated. About 100,000 views only??? First off, the art style is awesome, along with the choice of color palettes. Second, I like how this video is a smooth blend of animation and still drawings. Third, this song is downright badass, and you sync the scenes perfectly with the lyrics. Finally, I can imagine the sheer amount of effort used in putting the entire thing together. You, turret syndrome, have my utter respect and I hold this as the best Lyricstuck I have ever seen. this is ABSOLUTELY amazing! it's sad to see those links leading nowhere, but the video format works perfectly for this anyway. the editing is so dynamic and smooth! and the lyricstuck itself is genius, from the characters and scenes you chose to match to the lyrics, to the artstyle and aesthetics and atmosphere! i especially loved the part with doomed dave turning into davesprite, then jadesprite into dogtier jade. and the black-and-white end battle scene was so powerful! just amazing work altogether!!

To me, this means *Do not cry for me, I have not been good to you, and I want to prove to you that I care.* (and also other ways that I like to interpret it but this works so) Being the selfless, kind, frustratingly happy when everything they love is gone kind of people that everyone in homestuck is, this line could pretty much relate to anyone in homestuck, except maybe jack noir or the exiles or cronus ampora. Dude, it could even work for Eridan. Hell, it could ESPECIALLY work for Eridan. But anyway- It's shown on Mom Lalonde and Dad Egbert, because the person who made this is really fucking clever and it works for that. But maybe it goes a bit deeper. Mom Lalonde is technically Roxy, yes, but they have different experiences and different thoughts and things because of those experiences. It is thought that Mom Lalonde either does not care for Rose as much as she should, or is just extremely oblivious to everything. That's certainly not the Roxy we know. But, as I said before, mom lalonde could be worse, they have different experiences, different views, different friends... Nope. Nopenopenopenopenope. Would a mother who didn't care for her child buy her things and try to make up for the bad things and try to be funny and happy? Would a mother who didn't care for her child buy her wizard things and try desperately to be a good parent and fail *miserably* but still go and fight for her and have faith in her? Oh? Do you think I'm done yet? Oh no, I've just started. I've still to get started on Dad Egbert. What was my point again? Oh, right. Defending Mom Lalonde and Dad Egbert. Anyway. Dad Egbert. Let's call him DE, shall we? Where should I start? First of all, DE does not get enough credit for raising John and Jane and being the best overall parent. Does he even need defending. Maybe not. But he does need explanation. On the subject of him being the best parent, that's no context. Mom Lalonde drank (DO NOT FORGET THE POINTS BEFORE, THIS DOES NOT MEAN SHE IS THE WORST) Bro Strider trained Dave so hard it was considered abuse (HE WAS THE YOUNGEST OF THEM ALL, HE HAD NO IDEA WHAT HE WAS DOING, HE IS NOT EXCUSED BUT BEAR WITH ME) Grandpa Harley wasn't even there. Bequerel was, though. Sort of. DE cared a lot for John, and even though John was convinced that his dad had a stupid obsession with Harlequin dolls and was mocking him, just consider this: 1. hey didn't john literally come in the meteor that killed his mother and made the love of his life disappear 2. hey remember those harlequin drawings john drew on his wall that he couldnt see but that it is assumed that his dad could see? well his dad saw him writing things like "stupid, stupid boy!" on his wall and he got all of the harlequins to try and relate to his son and he leaves all of those inspirational notes around the house all because he just wants his son to be proud of himself and not hate himself even if he ends up hating DE instead well that did not make sense but anyway DE most likely thought that HE had caused John to write those things. DE probably thought that HE had not been a good parent to John, and instead made him miserable. So when he got attacked by Jackquerel or whatever his name is, his last thoughts were most likely something along the lines of "I have failed my son." and wow i am done if you have reached the end then congrats you are amazing and probably almost dead from boredom goodbye this entire comment had no point
