Frenzy doesn't stop you from declaring to stand and shoot. You cannot declare a flee as a charge reactions. But that is the only charge reaction restriction placed on the unit. So, throw your axes all you like!

Oh brainfart for me I was remembering when it gave immune to psych in 6th and a second 6th brainfart when then wouldnve stopped it: good spot! Looks like throwing axes are back on the menu!

@@BearfootMiniatures yeah I think the unit is great. Throwing axes as a charge response and then mash dudes with flails in combat. At 2 attacks each, S5 AP-2, even if a few die to the charge, you still have enough attacks back to absorb some losses before you strike.

Good video - thanks. I did think of your army when I saw that one of them was to be an all mounted army though I can see that the other one perhaps turns out to be a better fit. Pleased to see that I'm not the only one made slightly grumpy by them using the term 'Huscarls' for the wrong type of unit. One of the charms of old Warhammer back when it was better written was that terms like this would be used with a historical understanding - not necessarily with masses of research to be fully historically accurate, but at least a take on whatever the normal or traditional version of something was and you could end up learning something as a result. On the plus side the Wolves of the Sea list seems very suitable for a couple of things I would like to do if I ever get round to them. With the Beastmen more easily available it's perhaps a bit easier to run something closer to a mixed Chaos army along the lines of the 3rd Edition one I have. I do want Minotaurs in there as well really though. It also looks like a good list for running something like a proper old Norse army (i.e. not a Chaos army at all) with Chaos Warriors as the proper Huscarls as you suggest. Could do something good with historical Viking figures and though it would sadly be missing Norse Dwarfs it would still be fun. Skinwolves obviously, but also Ogres and maybe a Giant fit well with that though it would also have been nice if there was an unridden Dragon option. I guess the negative is the power creep that others have mentioned though the Wolves of the Sea does at least do one thing in the right direction in only allowing one Lord level option.

The terminology shouldn’t have got to me but apparently I’m that sort of person haha Minotaurs, all beasties tbh, bring back the fully mixed chaos list I say!

I haven’t edited the list yet simply the rr1s on charges. New dragon interesting maybe too strong?

Ye dead we’ve been going with! Risk the challenge or go first got to even think if it’s worth the wolves of the sea unit champ getting a gaze roll aswell: such an interesting decision to accept or not I think

Interesting, always fun to listen to.. Was just going to my store and listened to a podcast on this.. Can´t remember which one.. But some things sounded a little bit like.. Maybe power creep? Those Skirmishing Warband dudes sound very cheap.. I am a little worried.. I think it is still alright but.. Would like to see less power creep in Arcane Journals.. Still think 6th Ed is the most enjoyable and balanced version for me but I can tolerate TOW.. ;)

I think getting a second dragon is wild: berserkers are undercosted/likely I think marauders are slightly too expensive (but at that end of low points reductions lead them quickly into undercosted territory I think I’m hoping tbh that empire give a big power boost honestly

Obv there’s creep aswell not going to shy from that: I think it comes with “how do we make X new unit special compared to the others” and sometimes it creeps the power

@@BearfootMiniatures Yeah.. It is more avoidable than they try now I think. I don´t like it. The game is already pretty special rules-bloated. as well. Now everyone just want more and better special rules for their faction in their Arcade Journal. it is not healthy

I dont think it's that the ogre blade is to good. I think it's more the other relics are a combination to expensive and not good enough. Ex: Wizarding hat is not worth 50 points for level 1 casting plus stupidity. I'd pay like 10 to 15 points at most.

Ye agreed in large honestly; and the wizarding had With the stupidity ye I think your right at 10pts most, maybe still wouldn’t think it’s ACTUALLY worth something as choosing to gain stupidity is the worst way of losing your Lord

Ye, prepare for the full thought process haha: due to the joys of the KZbin algorithm I reuploaded/released it (I must’ve put am not pm for the release time or something) But a chaos old world guide vid should do quite well and it was doing the worst of any vid in the last 10 so I thought I must be the timing error. GW had sent me the AJ on a trial of how the vids do, so I sort of scrambled to rectify it
