The KEY here tho isn't just their new death lineup, it's the emergence of Jordan, and the fact that he can REPLICATE Steph's game in terms of Shooting/Scoring/Play-Making. Before, the Warriors would struggle to score when Steph went to the bench, but now, Kerr can keep at least 1 of them on the court for ALL 48 Mins, so it's Non-Stop Attacking and Pressuring the defense without Tiring out Steph. There's NO team in the NBA that can Substitute 1 Star Player for Another. Imagine if the Lakers cud sub LeBron for another LeBron?? It's like having a Clone, lol. Steph - 34 pts, 12/17, 5/10 from 3, 5/7 FT, 3 Rebs, 4 Asts Other Teams: that's fine, we expected that. We can still beat them tho. Jordan - 29 pts, 10/16, 5/10 from 3, 4/4 FT, 5 Rebs, 8 Asts Other Teams : Wait, there's TWO of them now??? . . . That's Not Fair!!! GS: don't forget, we still have Klay, Dray, Wiggins, etc . . . :)

Good take. He's been underrated as a defender for years. He's not elite, but he is above average, and that's all you can ask for with someone who is so destructive on the offensive side of the ball.
@jonathanbolger61732 жыл бұрын
Yea, not to take away from him but that's partially because of how GS defend. Very team focused defence, clever switching and they work for each other. Again, not saying to take away anything I think it's a plus, Steph is a very intelligent player, and good leader, lots of talking and coordination. They're a great team, excited to see this go as far as it can.
@BlackMarq202 жыл бұрын
@@jonathanbolger6173 it’s yes and no, I mean in previous years he was a big liability on defense and they would hide him, since he’s bulked up and actively worked on his defense he’s gotten a lot better. He was always good in the passing lanes, and had decent hands, but now his strength makes it harder to just bully him. He will always be targeted because of his height and it’s easier to shot over him, but to be 13th in defensive rating it a little more than the team. GS has always had top defenses and Curry hasn’t been this high. He was a legit 2-way player this year.

jordan poole is literally a piece of fantasy. we all know klay can shoot, but ultimately he’s the catch-and-shoot guy. i never saw him as replicating steph’s game, and that is not a bad thing either. in fact, that’s a perfect compliment to steph’s shooting. but i always wondered, ever since i first saw the splash bros in action, what if they had another scorer who’s just as reliable as these two? we sort of got that with kd but of course that’s different. kd isn’t exactly a pure shooter and he wasn’t organically developed by the organization. i wanted to see a genuine shooter similar to steph on the floor with him. my prayers were heard and the basketball gods have delivered. we literally have another freaking curry on the team. that is just absolutely insane to me, and the doors this opens up for the franchise is limitless. game 2 with denver was a thing of dreams. i have watched the highlight reel sooooo many damn times because i just could not believe that those plays actually happened. and jordan poole was an integral part of that being possible. what they did on the floor that night was just magic, and i know a lot of people are discrediting it because it was done on an undermanned, underpowered denver team. but i have absolutely no doubt this line-up will destroy other teams defenses just like how they did for the first two games of the playoffs.

Small ball isn't just about the 5 individual players either. Look at how GS works Jokic through the first half. They tire out the larger teams and then increase the pace in the second half. Large teams just become exhausted down the stretch. Literally why teams with a big man as their centerpice are so difficult to win with. This strategy also requires a ton of depth, which is exactly the "strength in numbers" you see from teams like the warriors or suns.

Although this year is a title run, wow we have so much to look forward to for the future..JP will get even better, Kuminga and Moody will be next to develop along with Wiseman…the type of center he’s going to become already would make any team in the league better but the fact that he ended up with the Warriors is so scary for the league because they’re already too many holes to cover for the defense…now they’re gonna add a lob threat to get even more easy buckets..he can dribble , finish, shoot, and they even hired an assistant that’s been training his post game..the same assistant that developed Joker’s post game…Wiseman’s also fast af, so on defense he’s gonna pretty much be everywhere with his size and the way Draymond and the team will develop his IQ, it’s exciting to think about and I’m glad we didn’t rush him back

You forgot to mention one extremely important think, Nick: rebounds. As Draymond is fighting and boxing out with Joker, rest of the team, despite being smaller, are fighting for rebounds as if their life depended on it. And, as a matter of fact, it does. They are not punished by Denver because they are not outrebounded. Curry is known for being great rebounder for his size. Thompson is stepping up and fighting for it as well (Draymond admit this on one of his live shows, fighting for rebounds does not equal in rebounds by player), even when it was never his forte. Wiggs is doing great and success of this lineup depends on dirty job he does with Draymond as coworking unit in defence. Poole is ussually on perimeter so his low rebounding is not a problem as long as opponent does not crush on the boards.
