ok ... now check out the live version and really get the TIM bass. Y'all won't be disappointed! I have seen them sing this twice ... once indoors and once outdoors in the middle of a fairgrounds and both sounded the same. These guys are just too good for words! Tim's bass shook the seats both times!!! Austin channels his inner college training for musical theater to a tee!!!

This was a great example of doing something they enjoy, and keeping their spirits up during such difficult circumstances. So glad to see you reacting to it, shows a hint of what characters they are. They have a blast singing, the whole group are some of the friendliest guys you could meet. If you ever react to some of their live show clips you'll see that they have a great time with their fans, and some of their entertainment between sets are hilarious. Ogre, we always watch to the end, and yes there is no way of saying that without it sounding creepy

When they released this during Covid it went viral and attracted Ubisoft, the game maker, to them. They asked Chance if he would write a shanty for their new pirate game called Skull and Bones. It’s great and Tim goes wicked low in it. Tim was afraid to move in this one as he was standing in a boat. He was afraid he’d fall out. Austin majored in musical theater in college….can you tell?!!! Hahaha. Love it!!!🥰😍 They also have a live version of this in concert that’s great. It was filmed last Christmastime I think. Enjoy!!!

These guys are full time with music. When the lockdowns started, they were on tour in Europe and they had to hustle to be able to even get home to the point that Tim and his wife had to leave some of their clothing behind. Before the lockdowns, they had made a promise to their fans to put out 2 videos a month. They decided they wanted to keep that promise but if they couldn't be in the studio together how would they do it? They all lived in a total of three different states? They told this to their producer Darren Rust (also co-writer, arranger, mixer, engineer and an acapella singer himself) and he told them what equipment they would need and how to set it up so that they could still remotely work in the studio. The only one that actually went into the studio was Rob because he lives near it. The guys had to learn how to do camera work for their videos and they kept their promise to the fans. The creativity was so cool...check out their video for "Meet in The Middle"...the transitions are amazing! "Down to the Honkytonk" was another good one, that lets you see a little bit of their home life.

Quarantine was the first video that recorded separately in their own homes during the quarantine. I think they tried to come out with another every other Friday. Home Free’s touring schedule is a lot, and they were doing even more shows before Covid hit. It was an abrupt change for everyone when Covid hit. But for Home Free, they were touring in Europe and had to make a sudden change in plans and get back home ASAP, before the borders closed. Then, no shows for a year and a half -when that’s their main income. During that time they became even more creative, recording in their closets at home, and then having their producer put it all together. So many great Home Free videos entertained us during the pandemic.

Tim is wearing the whole "Capt. Jack Sparrow" look.....but Austin has captured Capt Jack's crazy eyes and movements. This was Chance's idea, and he talked HF into going along with it. It was when Ubisoft saw this video that they got inspired to ask Chance to write "Skull & Bones" for their new game. BTW...Tim is standing in a little boat filming this, so he can't move without tipping it. Hence the waving of the tankard.😊

They basically went from 200+ gigs a year to sitting in their homes across the country from each other. They did discover that 200+ gigs a year had them perilously close to burn out that they hadn't seen coming, and have since drastically cut back on their tour schedule. Three of the guys amped up their song writing, I think Adam took the opportunity to revamp his mid-show solo act, and they STILL managed to put out a video almost every 2 weeks - recording at home and working long distance with both their video and music producers. For some truly amazing editing work, watch their Meet in the Middle.

Chance brought the idea of making this medley to the rest of the guys and it wound up being a huge hit. They also just released not long ago a Live version of this Ubisoft heard their Sea Shanty Melody and loved it so Ubisoft approached Home Free with an amazing opportunity to write a shanty for Skull And Bones video game they are releasing. Chance loves sea shanties and everything to do with the sea and loves gaming so he jumped at the opportunity. The shanty is a full version Lyric video They also sang a shorter version at Ubisoft Live Premiere. It’s beyond epic.A lot of reactors do both the lyric and live in the same reaction because the live is much shorter and you get to see who is doing what.

So this video was the reason Obisoft reached out to Home Free and asked if they would write a song for their new game Skull and Bones. Chance is the one who pushed them to do a video on sea shanties and was the one that wrote Skull and Bones. This is their most viral video to date. That said, the they released a live version a few months ago that is spectacular, you should watch. And you missed Rupp's castanet sounds in this. So they did a whole album worth of pandemic videos, all done very creatively. And no, the guys don't have average jo jobs. :) In an interview after the Sing Off, they were asked how they feel about becoming successful. And the answer was, we have been supporting 5 house holds before the Sing Off, that is being successful. Great job guys, keep it up.

This was recorded at about the time that Rob & Tim decided to stop consuming alcohol, for various reasons. So likely nothing spirited in their cups, at least. The clothes were based upon what sailors of various eras wore. Well, of course, Tim was doing Pirate of the Caribbean. "Santiana" is a corruption of Santa Anna, the Mexican general who conquered the Alamo and was later defeated. Austin was channeling him, I think. The live recording of this is awesome. Completely worth reacting to, as well. This went viral in a way they didn't expect, and it led to some other opportunities for them. ("Skull And Bones", for the win!)
