It's probably the closer movie to the original book, of the two movies. The original story is also an allegory for the Garden of Eden, people in the town used to live in a veritable paradise, until someone took knowledge out of the factory, at which point, Willy kicked the humans out and started using an unexplained work force to do everything with methods no one can understand. Also also: If Charlie hadn't bought that last chocolate bar, someone else in town would have, it just might have taken longer since everyone thought the last ticket was already found.

11:38 Bren sounds like a sad little Aperture turret that isn't aware that it was made in a factory and is looking for its parents. Edit: I just got to 16:14 and legit laughed out loud because of the ending to Portal 2.

"Charlie And The Chocolate Factory is a mouth-watering, epic comeback from the vastly disappointing original. The movie is truly a fantastical rollercoaster of chocolatey goodness. It absolutely blows the 1971 Gene Wilder movie out of the water with its perfect set design, faithfulness to its source and its hit of that Tim Burton twisted magic that we all know and love! For those many of us that were disappointed by the old movie, you're in for a treat with this one! Its got the wondrous trio of Tim burton, Roald Dahl and Johnny Depp and it actually has a nut room making it way more like the book and way more like we'd imagined it! Enjoy this movie, it really is the only true adaption of this beautiful book!" - everyone every year in the google review section

I also have a theory. A FILM THEORY. That it's a sequel. Charlie on the original theoretically changed his name to avoid changing labels and flyers and stuff.

Don't let Raid distract you from the fact that they deliberately skipped over The Inflation Scene where the Blonde Girl gets turned into a giant blueberry. Whether it's because they couldn't trust the chat, or if it made them too uncomfortable, we'll never know.
