Sameera is the name of his personality & Shakira was the real life character, his maid. When he adapted the personality of Shakira, she eventually became Sameera for him. That's why Sameera (his personality) was referring Shakira as Sameera, 'cause in Sameer's mind Shakira is now Sameera. And Hasan you're right, I also think that Shakira is alive & that lady is Shakira not Sameer's real mother. And once again, very intriguing drama and I really love both of your reviews. ❤😍👍

Personally I feel that specific to the circumstance in MPTH, the "do takke ki ladki" dialogue made sense. She left her loyal husband and young child only for the lust of money and materialistic things. She was also completely ok with the idea of her lover paying her husband for divorce. It's her actions that make her really cheap and "do takke ki" in common parlance refers to a cheap person with no self respect, who will do anything for money. Let's not get carried away by the fact that she is a woman, a man doing the same thing will also be a "do takke ka" mard. PS. I agree with Hassan that if you want to boycott then boycott the rest of MPTH also. Though, i feel boycotting a person's work because of his personal value system is a bit unfair.
@quantumbeemanics12265 жыл бұрын
I agree with everything you said insteas of the very last part. An individuals or an artists personal value system is going to be reflected and portrayed through his work somewhat or somehow, and THAT could be damaging for the society and young vulnerable growing minds.

I feel that Alif is an extremely powerful and thought provoking piece of art which is not getting its due credit because our masses are so easily wooed by "easy-to-grasp" content aka Meray paas tm Ho. I watched Meray Paas tm ho first and felt as if I was a part of the entire experience but watching Alif was an entirely different experience and one which did not resonate with me watching any Pakistani drama in the past few years. Particularly the entire montage where we witness the helpless family trying to arrange for money just to gain access to the dead body touched on the irony of capitalism, something which is never talked about in such a manner in our drama industry. My faith is restored in the fact that there are people in our media industry who can think beyond a typical love story or betrayal in love.

I feel Ahad Raza Mir is underappreciated for playing Saad and how his looks and whole character changed after joining the forces. And how perfectly he gels into each character he is doing. He is the only one, out of all the boys and even girls who changed his looks according to the character and the timeline of the story. He did it not just in Ehd-e-Wafa but also in Aangan, Yakeen ka Safar and in now in promos of Yeh Dil Mera we see him in different looks. I think you guys should discuss this, especially coz we have Osman Khalid Butt who did 3-4 shows in the same look, even Wahaj Ali too. Secondly, Alif and Ehd-e-Wafa also trend every week on twitter, youtube and social media. Over promotion and discussion of Mere Pass tum ho is annoying. MPTH team should avoid such cheap tactics. If their drama is so good, people will watch it automatically, they dont have to tell keh "barri important episode aarhi hai". Why play with people's decisions of what they wanna watch at that time, let them decide on their free will. I wasn't watching MPTH before too coz of this chichori team aur aab Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar ki wajha se tu I dont even watch the reviews.

Actually, no one noticed why exactly Danish said that dialogue ‘Do Take ki Larki’, is mainly used and rightly said because; DANISH was waiting till very end if Mehwish will decide to stay or to what limit she goes down to even after so much has happened, it seemed to him like its a dream and was in a state of shock constantly. He was thinking maybe she will look back now, turn back to him but she don’t which extremely hurts him deep down. It was bizarre for him as he lost her in such a situation which is obvious to him that she left him because of money (because at starting episodes we could see how she always kept pushing him for doing wrong to get money). So he had to say this.

Yes, I agree that the whole timeline was messed up in Ishq Zahe Naseeb. Sameer had went to Goher's house to ask for rishta and even Goher agreed then but then again he proposed her at the restaurant and she acted shocked. And Kashif and Goher meeting at the office and then goher acting as if she heard Kashif's voice for the first time on call made no sense. So they have added some scenes recently to maybe prolong the show. Because the day you took the interview Sonya had posted the stories of the scene from do darya they were shooting that day and they added it so soon.

After the drama I wait eagerly for your reviews, especially for Mere Paas Tum Ho. I am so glad you brought it up and condemned Khalil Ul Rehman Qamar's views. He was my most favorite writer, I used to look up to him as inspiration for his writing and it just shocked me to see the interview, really saddens me and makes me sick to realise that I looked up to this man. It surely made it Mere Paas Tum Ho not as enjoyable as before. But as Amina said and I agree with her that current on air, published material is public property but for any future projects we can boycott them. But it is also bit worrying me that how much of his toxic thought process will affect the story already written for Mere Paas Tum Ho. Though, it's making me think back to Zara Yaad Kar, people who watched this drama and know the end of Mahnoor's character was far more disturbing if you look at it today. What Mehwish and Shehwar has done is absolutely wrong rather than cheating she could have gotten divorce first and then if she genuinely wanted Shehwar she could have made her way to him. But it happens in reality and yes there are women out there like Mehwish of whom men like Shehwar surely take advantage of. I still believe, Mehwish actually loves Danish but her greed is far more than her love for Danish that's why she went with Shehwar. If she could have gotten money, she would have taken Shehwar's money and still be with Danish. Mehwish had full right to divorce Danish and lead a new life but her way was wrong and it goes both way. But in the new light of writer's views I am bit worried on how it'll reflect in MPTH's characters. Where Mehwish and Shehwar are shown in white and black with full negativity, for once it feels good to see a character like Danish on screen. It is showing that yes, as a man you can deal with situation like this as well and so far I haven't seen any character on screen like Danish but on the other hand I cannot help but to feel the writer's has kind of exaggerated Mehwish's character from where it could be grey to completely black. Not a single tear, or a moment of remorse, any sympathy for her husband or a her kid, no reaction at all.

Danish ka haqq to banta hai ke apni biwi ko kisi aur ko dete waqt itna to bole ,par apni mohabbat ko do takkey ka bolna ye thoda bura tha ,mehwish to ye deserve karti thi, par I think Danish ki mohabbat nahi, specially jab us ne ye kaha ke Meri mohabbat ki koi keemath hi nahi hai phir kaise use khud hi 2 takkey ka bana diya

Amna you are love thank you so much for saying it out loud about the mysogyinstic views of writer of MPTH. His interview definitely changed the perception how the drama would be further watched. I agree even he wouldn't have given such interview, do takay ka dialogue ka substitute kam zarf hosakta tha. Ghatiya keh detay.

Danish shouldn't be judged. That was the way that character reacted at that point of time. He was quiet when he saw her at the airport, he was quiet when he saw her pictures in Shehwar's phone, he was quiet when he heard the phone call. His kept his calm throughout these events which is very commendable for a man who belongs to a society in which men easily get aggressive. He had to let out his emotions in a way that was suitable for his personality. That character had to show how she's lost all the respect in a few yet powerful words

One thing I feel for MPTH..they should utilise the OST more in scenes as a transition..the lyrics are great and it should've been used more in the past episodes..not just a BG tune..they used most of it in the scene recently where Mehwish left which is great but its a little too subtle and they need to rely on music to get rid of that awkward silence to enhance mood with the use of facial expressions.

A very well done program. It feels like two friends talking about last night’s tv show around the water cooler the next day. Yet it is well structured and moves forward with deliberate speed. Please vary the set, ie painting or ornaments, to create more visual interest. Perhaps you can add a shot or segments of dialogue from the play you are discussing. That will remind the audience of what you are talking about and serve to reinforce your points. I think the most powerful scene/dialogue in Mere Paas was the husband strictly forbidding his wife not to.make the tea, or carry the dishes to the kitchen. Just his tone when he firmly told her ‘Nahin’ was so telling. It was as if recognized she was a stranger now. The cake and the dinner scene was a little strange. I don’t know if anyone who would go around celebrating the anniversary of a marriage that was already dead and gone. Plus it is not how most people would react. Had there been recrimination, or remonstration or harsh words or accusations or pleading - that would have been much more in line with how people behave. Amna, you are a good writer and your pieces on the website are well written. However, your use of the word despise when writing about the writer of Mere Paas is incorrect. It should be contempt.

Aamna I think I am one of the few Who is not watching this drama MPTH. I prefer class and quality over cheap commercial material. I am watching Alif and it is the making of a classic for me because one can resonate on so many levels to it, the cruelty and ruthlessness of society on one hand and the beauty, selflessness and purity of many souls on the other hand. What a balance WoW. For Khalilur Rehman as he told Sadqay Tumharay is his story so you can understand from what a mindset he’s coming from. Aamna is absolutely right that these dramas make up the mindset of society so portraying women as unfaithful, and money monger and emotionless does not show what our society is. If one woman is like there are hundreds of thousands of women who are faithful, sacrifice and only know how to give love and care.

The drama Ehd e Wafa shows students from different professions, medical student, a journalist, a cadet a college student. Why is it not a medical college production or a journalist association production. Why other professionals don't produce dramas? Imagine a doctors serial drama showing student life in a medical college and hospital, showing on it’s screen," a surgeons production" drama. Instead it will show a , "special thanks to" at the end. There is no bank or lawyers or a politicians production. Why? Because it's not doctors or judges job to produce dramas nor do they have the time to. Similarly, there are no railway production or a wapda production or a state bank production or even a supreme court production. 😃Professionals do their own job and leave dramas to be made by people who are in the drama industry. Just a thought which I know no one can dare to discuss.🤪

Actually none of the professions you mentioned has a media wing. If they had they'd have come up with something. Moreover, i don't think anybody needs to worry about the money being spent because I'm sure they'll earn more than they've spent. After all, it's a hit.
@mahnoorqureshi32815 жыл бұрын
@@javerial417 Professionals don't need media cells. Their work speaks. Yes , it's all about money. From real estate to selling cement, cereals, meat, butter etc to having labs, shaadi halls to making songs, dramas, movies, video games , its all about money. 80 percent of our budget goes to them not for this but to fight which they say is not an option and in the history have 4 wars lost to india. Not to mention politics. Bangladesh kept their military away from politics and within it's constitutional limit and they are ahead of us today. We will never learn or speak up. There is no need for india to attack us. They want a weak Pakistan and that's what we will remain. Pakistan is not ruled by politicians, even a vendor on the street knows where the real power is. Politicians are mere puppets, and if they refuse to be, they are doomed. From Fatima Jinnah till today this is how it is and this is how it is going to be.

Being a woman, I agree with Amna more than Hassan. I was unaware of the background and interview of Khalil ur Rehman. Two days ago I wrote a blog praising the brain behind the writing and dialogues, apart from the exceptional acting. And now I feel cheated. Such a hypocrite! I adored Michael Jackson and now whenever I play his music, it reminds me of how young children suffered. In short, it SPOILS THE WHOLE EXPERIENCE. I cannot look back at an artist's great work if his personal views and actions are misogynistic and abhorrent. I am sorry, but I take it personally, and that's how I function. However, I am already invested emotionally in the characters of Mere Pass Tum Ho, and I will continue to watch it, because curiosity kills the cat. Regarding the comment 2 Takke ki Aurat, Danish took a jab at her. It was his angst and camd from a personal space. Whether it was right or wrong, justified or not, is irrelevant in this case. We deliberately say hurtful things to people when we're angry. People here justifying the crass comment, please stop. When we pick a fight we abuse, but that does not mean the other person deserves it. And I feel judging a woman's character is the easiest thing to do. I look at Mehwish as a character, it could be a man or a woman, and it would still deserve all the hate because of its actions, not because of its gender.
@beeh25925 жыл бұрын
Disagreed, when Danish closes the door that's the first time he gets to grieve properly. He actually allows himself to breakdown because it's happened finally ...the worst nightmare of his life has come true and all he has left is her memories and the essence of her. He loves her UNCONDITIONALLY, only a man or anyone who loves like that can be so sacrificing , he will forgive her a thousand times and let her back into his life a million times again.

Totally agree with Aamna on KRQ stance.. I’ve disliked the guy ever since he wrote Punjab nahinjaungi... that was misogynistic as well. Even when I started watching MPTH, the writing was reeking of krq. His interview just proved what I suspected..
