Dear Amna and Hassan, I am interested in knowing how and when did Something Haute happen and how did you two discover each other? Did you expect that you two would make such a great team? I would want you to do an episode about SH and yourselves , like you do interviewing actors, as you have become celebrities yourselves. I started watching SH a few months back and immediately after the first show I subscribed, although I do not normally like to subscribe and have just 2 to 3 other subscriptions. Now I have made my husband watch HS and he thoroughly enjoys and agrees with your comments, funny and serious. HS and your team is an instant hit with anybody who watches it .KUDOS!👏👍

I think in Alif ..the conversation between dada n momin is entirely related to the story ..when v hear the OST it’s so understandable tht it’s not any love story or something..,it’s all about loving allah .,roohaniyat n all.so each n every dialogue makes so much sense to understand what’s gonna happen in future episodes .n the way dada n momin talk with each other ..,it’s very deep n real .,humari bhi ruhaniyat jaag jati when we hear those words .pakistani actors r mind blowing.getting addicted to watch the dramas so much .n more than that ..ap dono k reviews on all these.u make it more interesting Aamna n Hassan .

I really like ur reviews Amna and Hassan but as far as Alif is concerned, it is not only a visual treat to watch but also invokes in u a retrospective feeling that forces u to conduct a self-analysis of urself. This in itself is an achievement for any drama. I, and I am sure many of the viewers, never get bore of the spiritual conversations which Momin has with Dada and they are important for the story to progress.

We can't forget the background music in the success of MPTH, which is so much accurately placed and heart touching and of course in the Ustaad Rahat's voice.. Director beautifully knows where to put Sitaar, where to the lyrics and other music as well. I think MPTH is standing at four pillars, which are: Script, direction, acting and background music.

I don't think there is anything wrong with having the experience of listening to a dars while watching a show. If anything, it definitely reinforces a lot of concepts that you know but tend to forget and reliving it through fictional characters makes it more impactful and compelling. Wouldn't completely disagree with Amna but i guess creators should come up with more creative ways to incorporate spiritual awakening. I think shehr-e-zaat handled it brilliantly even though it was a similar relationship dynamic (naani-nawaasi instead of dada-pota).

Speaking of “Alif”, Amna you said that they’re dragging the conversation between Daada and Momin ... it’s because his grandfather is reminding him and he will continue to give him reminders until he realizes that he’s on the wrong path. It is because Momin is in denial so his dada has to remind him to bring him to that realization. That’s how it works if it’s not done consistently and politely, it usually has no impact because those who need it most cringe whenever a reminder is given to them and avoid it like the plague and the truth settles in slowly and steadily. Thought I’d let you guys know. 🙂 ... Quran 51:55 “And remind, for indeed, the reminder benefits the believers.”

OhmyGOD YES! I was SO offended by that “aurat shak karay tu hansi ati hai, Mard karay tu rona” especially because it is reflective of how our society treats the issue too, cue my pet peeve in (third-class) Pakistani comedy where husbands are cowering under wife’s suspicions and it’s “funny” when they flirt or try their luck at other women. Misogyny alert.

I agree with you, woman should have equal right to unfaithful. If a women goofs around it should not be treated differently. However, even here in USA it is treated differently. For example, if husband is having an affair they try to work out things. However, if a wife is having an affair, most of the the time it ends in divorce.

While overall it is a terrific drama, I do find issues with writing whenever they mention a trait and say ye aurat nahi hoti. I'm sorry? So if a man rapes a child and kill him then will you still call him a man? Biologically he is still a man but socially and morally is he still a man? Wouldn't you prefer to call him an animal. Just because people have dicks and vaginas don't make them men and women. It's the way we act and our traits which makes us that. Some traits are attributed to women and some are attributed to men.
@ipranjali

@@ahsanarshad918 Animals don't deserve to be compared to rapists. Rape is about humiliation and power, which is why survivors and perpetrators aren't always of a certain gender. I think this was hands down the most impactful episode of Ishq Zahe Naseeb. Wonderful performances by both Sonya, zahid and even yumna. And I don't know why people ask you to praise zarnish, I feel like she literally overacts and has a weird accent. Even in mohabbat na kariyo show she has acted the same. And Sameer cannot be shakras illegitimate child since no mother would do that to his own child. I think she just took revenge and he's suraya begum's son. I hope they can wrap up the show in an epic way and not leave the audience frustrated. I want Sameer and goher to have a happy ending. They should focus more on Goher helping Sameer with his mental illness so our audience gets educated more regarding this illness. Kashif, donia and jahangir scenes are pointless now.

Shahwar wants Mehwish as only his toygirl, he is not in love with her, he's in lust with her. That's why he's denying her the joy of motherhood by being hesitant in inviting Rumi to his house. The reason Haniya's sister rightfully indicated that she's a Balaa devoid of Hayaa, is justified as she knows Mehwish had left Danish and Rumi for nothing but money and a cushy lifestyle. Feels great to watch this phenomenal serial and look forward to the review of it eagerly. Love from India. ❤️❤️

If anyone has seen Saat Pardon Mein (Sohai's first drama), must remember that the disassociative personality disorder was portrayed in that drama for the first time in Pakistan. Ali Khan used to dress in a pink saree at night and put makeup on and his friend(meekal) suggested him to talk to a girl as a solution for this.

I also want to point out the sheer arrogance in Mehwish now, esp noticeable when she interacts with the principle and is SO offended when she says she needs a letter. Mehwish's entitlement and ego is touching new heights with every dialogue she says

Hassan bhai, hope you read my comment, too😃I beg to differ to Amna like anything. Alif is not a sermon neither Umera's writing style is! It's always difficult for almost everyone of us to get an inside insight of our souls and evaluate the connection we're missing that encircles the whole universe. Not everyone is ready to get through this which Alif is provoking in all its sublime glory! This is so sad to watch Amna's reaction on alif being so superficial! Just so sad!

Hassan aapne dil jeet liya. Insaan ki nazar mein haya honi chahiye. Cheezien aur log behaya ya baahaya nahi hote - insaan ki nazar hoti hai. Mehwish ek buri maa aur biwi hai. Ismein koi do rai nahi. Especially Rumi jaise masoom bacche ke hote hue, uska sirf apne baare mein sochna kaabile maafi nahi hai. That being said, Hania ka use behaya kehna mujhe ajeeb zarur laga. Woh Mehwish ko rude keh sakti thi, irresponsible keh sakti thi. But as an educator, I expected better from her than spouting lines because they sound, well, fancy. Woh Mehwish ke baare mein kuch nahi jaanti, other than what Mateen sahab wrote in his diary - ans everything he's heard and written about comes from her jilted husband - not the most fair perspective. Haan, hum jaante hain ke Danish Mehwish pe jaan chidakta tha, par Hania yeh nahi jaanti. A teacher encounters people from different walks of life, with different expectations and parenting styles - she should be the last one to judge, if shes the responsible teacher she's declared herself to be. Completely tangential, I don't think Shehwar will have Danish murdered. Ek toh it would be a horrible ending and render the whole story pointless, but after Khaas kuch bhi ho sakta hai. More to the point though, if Danish dies, Rumi gets tacked on to Mehwish permanently - aur jo aadmi use weekend pe bardasht nahi kar raha, raat din thode hi rakhega apne paas. Yes he could leave him at the school, but it just doesn't work out as well. Khair, thats my two cents, bahut bol liya. Thank you, guys! Oh oh oh oh. Hassan we're trying very hard to not grudge you your holiday, and aapke kehne pe Aamna se request kar bhi li, par aap dono na ho toh show show nahi hai. Please apna bahut khayal rakhein, aur jaldi wapis aayein. Aamna, we'll part tearfully in Jan when you go off as well! ♥️

You spoke my heart about hania's behavior.. How the heck did she know k mehwish me haya hai k nai.. Ya in k drmyan kya hua.. All she knows is that they got separated and rumi was affected.. They could have been divorced for any reason for all she knows. She can judge her as a mother but not as a wife or woman.. This is krq trying to put his decaying thoughts in people's mind.. I just can't see this drama without seeing his mind works, after seeing that shitty interview of his.
@ipranjali

@@reejuti She seems to have based her opinion on Mateen sahab's diary, but given that Mateen sahab was a cheater himself who lived his life feeling guilty for having been unfaithful, she has to know that the narrative will never be the entire story. Danish could have been a terrible husband but a great friend. Mehwish's decisions are frankly none of her business anyway. The effect it's had on Rumi should have been her primary concern, but I don't remember her speaking about that child even once before she was being a jerk to Mehwish. Before she knew what the issue was, her grand solution to the problem was to have the parent fix it, despite the fact that Rumi LIVES on campus. Either that, or leave. Even after, it's all about Danish. Although Rumi finds her cute, Hania is a pretty terrible example of an educator. I'm just glad she stood up for Rumi and held off his mother/let his father know.

@ipranjali
@ipranjali 5 жыл бұрын
@@reejuti If he's written pages about Danish, I would think he's mentioned the fact that his wife left him for another man and his money. There isn't a direct mention, bit since Hania was referring to 'mard-aurat and shak karna' I think its a fair assumption that there are details in Mateen sahab's diary. Otherwise there's no situation where Danish would disclose the details to her, at the principal's office he only said that his wife left him.

nice review i completely agree with hassan whatever he said about alif but with due respect i dont agree with the haya philosophy haya should be in both men and women and dressing approptiately is part of haya that is what Quran says. i agree that you cannot judge a person just bcoz he or she is dressed up properly but you cannot deny the importance of clothes in the context of haya. btw the description of rasgullas was amazing

How he avoided confrontation but when it came to his wife (hit monty) and his kid (roomi k kehne pe gives shahwar what he deserves) Dil khush hogaya. ALSOOOO miss hania's shutup to mehwish was amazing. How she was politely insulted by the teacher & principal

Momina mentioned right from the start that there is one week of rehearsal and one week of shooting . I agree with Hassan , no matter what the pace is, I love watching Alif . Also it would be unreal if dada would lecture him and momin would have a change of heart there and then. The whole drama is about the inner conflict he is facing so yes there will be naseehatain from dada throughout the series which are not sermon but gentle reminders for momin to reach the right path. Doesn’t anyone else feel that Hania is falling for Danish now? The mannerism on phone call where he says ab aap bhi ghussa khatam Karain and aap phone rakhain, I caught a smile on Hania’s face. Hassan is right , I also felt Danish is an obsessive husband but when it comes to your child that obsession is somehow justified. He is being obsessive about Rumi too but it doesn’t seem odd because that is a norm of society... parents obsessing over their kids. Lastly ,while I agree with Hassan to some extent that haya Mard ki ankh main hoti hy , I would say the same for women k aurat ki bhi ankh main haya Honi chahiyay .sirf Mard ki ankh main haya Hona Kafee Nahee hy neither it is only a man’s job to lower his gaze.

Ok! First of all you both are amazing and I missed this amazing chit chat on Monday night. thank you for coming. Anyways .. About Alif i would say the only thing I like is the storyline baki the writer is telling the same things repeatedly which makes me bore most of times. I just filp many scenes and still getting the story . About MPTH I thing it was another powerful episode. And I think the explanation you gave on HAYA is the not same HAYA what writer is trying to tell(Mahwish jab danish ke saath thi you shawal kameez dupptta hi pehnti thi) HAYA is not relating with the kapre here.

Alif is the best drama going on tv right now. The story is beautiful although execution falls it below the standard expected from the novel. It’s so deep that you need to watch it few times to get hold of what goes in the life of Qalbe momin. Need to realise the symbolic importance of Qalb e momin. He is the heart of a momin who keeps wandering away and coming back. Momin k dil ki waridaat hain. Secondly imagine a grandfather who writes Quran and his grandson sell lust. He will speak and advise.
