I’ve been recently confirmed as a catholic by my parents (I didn’t have a say lmao). Idk what I believe anymore and I’m afraid of believing the wrong thing. Every religion claims to be the right religion and there are so many different Christian branches (Catholic Lutheran Presbyterian etc). Idk what to do but I usually feel better when I don’t think about it

Jesus said his Church would be "the light of the world." He then noted that "a city set on a hill cannot be hid" (Matt. 5:14). This means that his Church is a visible organization. It must have characteristics that clearly identify it and distinguish it from other churches. Jesus promised, "I will build my church and the powers of hell shall not prevail against it" (Matt. 16:18). This means that His church will never be destroyed and will never fall away from Him. His church will survive until his return. The Catholic Church is the only universal Christian Church that has existed since the time of Jesus. Every other Christian group is an offshoot of the Catholic Church. The Eastern Orthodox churches broke away from the unity with the pope in 1054. The Protestant communities were established during the reformation, which began in 1517. Most of today's Protestant groups are actually offshoot of the original Protestant offshoots.

Thanks for the comment. In John 8:58 Jesus says, "before Abraham was born, I AM." If you understand the reference to Exodus 3:14 (which the Pharisees did), it was clear he was claiming to be God. Jesus also said in John 10:30, “I and the Father are one”. If you read the passage, again, the Pharisees were about to stone Him because they correctly interpreted he was claiming to be God. Jesus also said in John 14:6, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” Mark says Jesus was God in Mark 1:1, Thomas called Him “My Lord and my God!” in John 20:28, Jesus accepted worship (Matthew 2:11, Matthew 14:33, Matthew 28:9, John 20:28) and He claimed to be the Messiah, the Savior of the world (John 4: 25‭-‬26).

First of all god actually is the author of confusion. He literally came down and confused the language of the people at the tower of babel. God said that he will send lying spirits to confuse the people/prophets in Isiah and that's not even counting things where god confused his own people so much they wandered around for 40 years in a small stretch of wilderness during the (unverified) exodus... Etc etc. If you deny god is the author of confusion, I'll bet you haven't read the Bible nearly enough/all of it. As for the last part, who was it that hardened pharaohs heart... Wasn't it the omnipotent, omnibenevolent, omniscient god of "love" that had to wave his dick around by killing the firstborn innocents, animals etc? God says that he creates evil (Isiah 45:7) don't take credit from whom it's due. Remember what happened to the king that did this and dropped dead. Better go grovel before your god "lovingly" brings out the rod.
