I was just talking about this. Everyone says hawks is not a problem when I mention him and straight up forget the game is a 3v3 game. With randoms, fighting against a good team who has a hawk is almost just an instant loss. I don’t find hawks that hard in a 1v1 with the CHARACTER I play but when it’s a good team it’s just not a character you can focus on for too long since most skills won’t hit him

Funniest thing I’ve ever done against a hawks was when I as a Tsu chased a hawks who wasn’t even that low ( still had full health and relatively half shield) across the entire map with some well spaced alphas and proceeded to abuse the poor guy as he tried to run again until I had killed him. It was deserved when we sit down and talk about his character identity of permeation and rapid was still preserved when they could have nerfed his I-frames and distance traveled and broke the character in a bad way. Mirio was a character or more specifcally a rapid with very few choke points to damage him (his alpha follow-ups, his alpha finisher, and beta at the apex) due to the nature of him being invincible (specifically during alpha follow-ups). With that in mind with his title as 3rd party king something had to give besides damage, considering the person that's being wombo combo could still be damaged but not the mirio. Something to keep in mind but most characters can at least trade with rapids, mirio was the outlier because he flat out ingnores damage.

Definitely nerfed too much but he did need a change in some way, I really only noticed his annoyance when playing melee or short ranged characters in very late game. Being able to Alpha into the air to get out of range for attacks till your other abilities were done with their cooldown was very annoying to deal with depending on who you were playing as. His health nerf was definitely the wrong move though. It's like they completely forgot that characters like Red Shiggy/Deku or Shiozaki can hit through shield all the while their teammates are laying waste to your shield while they have a hold of you.

As someone who has been using Mirio since he's release I find it a good-bad nerf. The hp was pretty hard on him ngl, but his charged alpha did deserve a nerf like it was a one shotting tool especially in PU state. Now about the betta into alphas combo, that wasn't necessary. Especially when landing betta into gamma is really hard (especially now that the range the betta knocks 'em down is bigger) taking the betta into alpha combo was too much

I think Mirio already had a weakness, which is that most of his attacks can be anticipated and completely dodged if you have the right timing. He already had not so much HP but now I feel like he's dying so quickly... And on the other side you have Hawks who can literally fly across the map and run away faster than any other character... Imo he's the one who clearly deserved 225 HP... Mirio is my main but now I start to feel like he's too weak...

Yeah he was always a character that was punished for whiffing which at least in a 1v1 situation wasn’t the hardest
