My only complaints are not being able to grind or work towards unlocking cosmetics. You can only buy them.

They have to make money It make sense to complained about the gameplay or pay to win aspect in games but asking for free skins in a free to play game might be too much Would be nice to have but shouldn't be the main concern

Theirs a bunch of free skins you can grind for right now. Through daily logins you can get joker shirt Velma. Vacation superman, a bunch of Matrics skins for difrint characters and a Bannana gaurd skin. From free cosmetics, banners and profile icons you can get prestige coins which you can also use to buy skins

​@clash4cityrocker That depends. I seen it had 2 skins a 2 other items. One of those items is basically some cash back and Plus Prestige points so that you can earn exclusive rewards down the line

Not being able to play characters in local play is one of the worst thing for me. Even when the game closed I still played local play with 3 of my friends and it was cool but now the game launch and my friends won’t be able to play theirs mains cause I only have 5 characters

There needs to be a ranked mode added asap, or "global rank" added back, because as it is there is absolutely no reason to play the multiplayer and nothing to work towards.

@@KKOOLSKOOL no because not only did I not play the beta so I don’t have an opinion in that regard I also know the competitive and the casual settings are completely different and as a casual player who doesn’t give a damn and just wants to play a fun fighting game with Warner IPs I think the game is great.

Honestly no vs a.i or offline mode is a low blow to the game especially when it use to be in the beta version.... It makes no sense that they removed it

Thanks for going through these complaints. Most of them (if not all) are valid. I'm particularly annoyed that, as a parent... My son's account is completely blocked from all online content. Which means he can never play anything but the offline training and local fighting... And he has no way to unlock other characters other than paying cash??? HUH??? They are automatically excluding most of their target audience with that move... 🤦‍♂️ It's a shame because the gameplay itself is very good, IMO. But, the in-game economies are a mess.

I didn't realize it was actually out of the beta, I might give it a check out to see how things are. Can't really give any accurate insight, if I haven't even tried it yet. F2p is a scary phrase for games lately though, so will see!

Never played the beta, so I'm pretty much new to this game but still there is two minor complains that I have with this game: 1) No idea in how to get more of that "Toast" item, people said that was a purchasable item in the beta but apparently now in the game you only get 5 each day by log-in. No idea what that item does to the players that I give them but still it kind of suck that I only can give 5 per day and no more, sometimes I played a really fun match and I feel bad for no give toast in the end of the match to the players but I receive some from them. 😔 2) It kind suck that there is not an option to add a local second player to the party and play with, only can be done by inviting another online player, I mean why?, it would be nice to play the game with someone locally without the need of turn the consoles, the TVs and play in the bedrooms separately...

My only only complaint whenever I just press a button for neutral attack, it straight up a forward Smash/charged attack instead of three hit combo. Would’ve make sense if was forward nerutal attack.

you can do grounded air attacks. Diagonal up and side dash + any attack = instant air attacks.

I’m a ps player and every time I play against Xbox or pc it’s so glitchy and laggy and that was something people complained about in the beta and they still have it

The game slowing down was a good change. In beta with the game being faster it was easier to just spam one move during the match. The game also rotates 4 characters each week to play for free this week is Lebron, Finn, Wonder Woman and Bugs. Not having the option to play bots in pvp kind of sucks but it's easy to get the daily's and weekly's done in rift mode and having to get the 3 wins in pvp isn't bad. I believe enough xp is given to level up in the battle pass. They could tweak it some buy giving a small amount each pvp or rift match you play and have the amount you get capped at 1.5-2 lvls per week. I think why this is complained about is players are wanting to complete the battle pass right away instead of putting on the time to complete it wit the quests provided. And with Jason not being available other then the battle pass. He will be available to get after the season is over similar to how Agent Smith will be available. Right now you can get up to 600 Fighter tokens per each character when leveled up to 15. The free portion of the battle pass has up to 1700 of the tokens, the agent smith event has 3000 tokens, Jokers ruse event has 600 tokens, the welcome back daily login in has 700 tokens and the newest event power pledge has 600 tokens. Only complaint I would have is the Rift tokens take a long time to level up, but they do have daily's that switch between the two chapters and soon to be 3 chapters when they release the Horror chapter with Jason.

My biggest complaint is that playing pvp feels very unrewarding. Ok, you can do some missions playing pvp but after that there is no incentive to keep playing anymore.

A mod for the game actually came out and said that we are supposed to get xp from just players online matches not just from daily missions it’s a problem in their system and their working on it

Funny how you keep saying there's good things about the game but don't list anything specific. Dude I know people on the internet can overreact especially on Twitter and reddit. But in this case I will not defend this game at all, it's very clear Warner brothers is just trying to nickle and dime consumers as much as possible. Employing all the scummy tactics were used to seeing from these types of games. If they truly wanted to make things better they would've turned it into an actual completed game with dlc added later after it failed at being a live service game the first time. Because yes this is a great idea in concept but coprorate greed is getting in the way of it's potential.

Nothing against Player First Games, (I mean if it weren't for their pitch then this game wouldn't exist) but I really wish that the rights for Multiversus would move to a different devolper like NetherRelm. Don't get me wrong what the devs accomplished was nothing of extraordinary, and I still have quite a lot of fun with the game but they definitely bit off way more than they could chew especially for a studio in its early years. Seems like Multiversus has been failing at basic thing's since the beginning at least imo.

Soon as I saw the always-online requirement I deleted the game without giving it any chance. At least Disney Speedstorm lets you play locally any unlocked character on any track without any progression. Always-online DRM is absolute cryptonite to me and I refuse to support any game that has it with my time or money. Need at least a stripped down portion to be usable without active internet connection.

to answer that title; yes the beta is just objectively better and didnt have this many problems. reddit isn't exaggerating tbh, this relaunch is a downgrade in so many different ways, and the new content they even added like rifts have its own set of problems sure, fine, the devs acknowledged the criticism, but you gotta keep in ind that people are frustrated because they had a YEAR in hiding to get this right and address the problems people had with the beta, which i can sum up as 'balance the characters, fix the netcode, have more content and modes' character balancing is thrown out the window with the removal of attack decay (which basically invites MORE degenerate braindead play), the netcode is doggy doodoo water as i have had 6 disconnects in a row due to desyncs, and again, the new content has its own slew of problems, and the few things this game had going for it got REMOVED in the relaunch!

I think the speed on 2v2 should be this slow, because it does get hectic seeing all the combos and specials. But 1v1 is too slow. Like way too slow. Also the camera is too zoomed in. If you play Tom & Jerry it's quit difficult and sometimes not possible to see Jerry when you throw him. He's completely off screen lol.

These are very minor fixes/issues. The only major issue is if you have a problem with the slowed down gameplay. I like the gameplay right now, though. My biggest problem with the game is the fact that some characters I unlocked during open beta are now locked. I'm pretty sure I had every character unlocked. 10 of them are locked for me right now.

Wtf is wrong with the game, the movement sucks, one time superman charged punch went all across the screen, full of bugs and I had the biggest disappointment, was expecting this game for a long time :(
