I am a 64 year old white lady and my hair was thinning, I was ashamed to be out , I would put a bandanna on my head,I started using the bars and my hair has thickened up and I used to never use conditioner because it would make my hair oily, I tried using the conditioner bar,my hair is soft and not oily. My Grand Daughter is mixed, her hair is soft and great to.

Really nice video. I bought the terrace garden shampoo and conditioner and I love it. My hair is similar to yours and figured out a trick or two. If you leave some water in your hair after shampooing - you’ll use less of the conditioner bar. When you shampoo, apply in circular motion, then pull it through in long stokes from root to tip. When you apply the conditioner bar, use long straight strokes, instead of going in circles. I let it dry without applying anything else to see how it would turn out.

I've been using it for about 3 months, I do see less shedding but I found it hard to use the conditioner as a bar. So before washing, I take a chunk of the conditioner bar and melted it into a small batch of rice water for ease of use. I haven't noticed any change in length just less dryness, maybe added effectiveness of my oil/moisture regime when I braid my hair. Fingers crossed

If hair grows .5 inches a month, I’d be shocked if you saw significant change in length in tightly coiled hair in just 3 months.

@@denyshadials5702 if that's the general rate of growth applied to most people, some people are luckier than most if they get more than that I guess. I was just sharing my experience; hopefully it's helpful. I was also able to do the same with the shampoo bar with some trial & error of course. Happy new year 😊

Have you tried letting it set in a bit of water for a couple of minutes before use? That will bloom the bar and make it easier to use. I will NEVER go back to bottled shampoo!

I have very thick curly hair and I've been shedding and it's got thinner so I bought these . Have used for a month and threw out all my other hair products. I have NO dandruff and my hair feels so smooth and soft , its grown 1 inch in 4 weeks and I have 0 dandruff!

I bought this product, and so far I'm very satisfied. The aroma to these bars, are incredible. Beats making your own rice water, which can be on the funky side, after fermentation. Either way, very good product :-)

I've been seeing this and now I'm trying to decide if I should get a scented shampoo bar or unscented. I have the bamboo comb sitting in my cart and the shampoo bar holder. I want to get a way from store bought shampoos. And what if you have high porosity hair. Wouldn't the rice in it cause protein overload even though I don't wash my hair daily

@@Shrimp459 I use the Terrace Garden and I bought the wicker bowl with lid and if you go on line their is a how bunch of reviews but if you wip oil on them for 15 minutes they will not go bad I believe that you will be very happy !

@@Shrimp459 no on the wicker bowl that you can buy to keep your bar's in I have been using mine for over 3 months now and I was surprised when the gray/white hair started going away I'm going to be 63 soon and didn't like that the hair around my face was turning this gray/white color when the rest of my hair was Auburn I was born with very blonde hair but after my first daughter it changed to what it is now my hair is also half way down my back and I were it in a ponytail because I have always had very fine hair it's also really soft I think that you will be happy 😊

You will LOVE IT! I just ordered my third set, because it is limited edition in red packaging. I couldn't resist. I fell in love with this bar on the first use and will NEVER go back to bottled shampoo. My hair is another, softer, much less crunchy. Sammmee. I seen no girls like me on the reviews so I had to come to youtube to see if anyone used it. A little nervous because my hair us high porosity and uts color treated, and I don't want nothing taking out my hair lol. On the reviews people are saying their hair is growing faster and getting thicker but does it work for woman of color too? Please do an update video on this product.

I recently started using the rice water shampoo and conditioner and I like it and I believe this product is good for my hair bc it not super thick bc of having course hair it been better to use on my hair because other stuff that was thick caused me to have so much buildup in the past. My hair never gets oily but I would used to have residue in my hair. This product is a game changer

I totally get your concern! Honestly I think it depends on how frequently you use it. I wash my hair around once a week and my bar is still very much intact. If you are washing your hair every day or even every other day it'll prob last you about a month or less? It also depends on how you wash your hair. I wash my scalp then let the run off cleanse the rest of my hair. If you wash the entire length of your hair, it'll not last as long. The shampoo bar has a ton of lather so your won't need a ton of it, but I find I have to use a lot of the conditioner bar. I hope this helps!! ✨
