Can't thank you enough man! Sunday night, washing clothes, helping the wife get kids ready for bed suddenly our laundry room is a lake of water. KZbin the problem and watched your video. I have a GE but similar to your washer. Checked what you said and boom that was the problem. Cleaned line. Put back together and we're back washing clothes. Thank you again!!!!!!
My washer was over flowing. After watching your video I inspected my washer and found the air hose was completely clogged with gunk. I was able to cut out about 4 inches of the clogged hose. Tested the small medium and large settings. Everything is working perfectly. You saved me a service call and probably a couple hundred bucks. You are the man!!! Thanks for posting that repair. God bless you.

Thank you so much! This worked!!My washer was overfilling with water. I didn't want to contact the repair guy again because its expensive. Then I came across your video and some other guys video on here and finally decided to take apart the washer today. I blew air into the hose, then put everything back together, put a load of clothing in today to try it and bam it started working like normal. Can't thank you enough.

Great video. I like the way you repeat the items that you think are critical to the issue at hand. That will irritate some people but they can go somewhere else. This video was well done, very clear, concise and to the point. Excellent.

You saved me from buying a washing machine. It's been raining when my washing machine overflowed & what a mess! It was too late when I realized my wash room , guestbath & down the basement were flooded. I am more the handyperson than my hubby & thought I'll give it a try since I've got so much wet clothes & towels that would stink if not dried. Sure enough, there was much debris in the hose which I cut & clean & rig back so it will reach the switch. My only difficulty was putting back the frame where my hubby helped me align it. Many thanks to this simple, easy to understand video that even an older lady like me can do.

Dude;this video made my day! I did the blowing trick into the pressure switch and it clicked, then i cutted off 1 inch from both ends of the hose and with a straightened paper clip cleaned through the fitting hole at the bottom, where the hose connects.Last step before connecting the hose to the switch, i blew air through the fitting hole to remove any obstructions away. Now the switch works like new and i didn't have to spend money to fix it.Thank you very much for this video. 🙂🤝👍

Great video! This helped me today in diagnosing an overfilling washer for a client! Have been repairing appliances for quite a while now, but this symptom was new to me. As it turned out, air hose was indeed clogged with a bunch of gunk. Cleaning and flushing it thoroughly resolved the issue! Thanks much, Sam!

Posted this on another video but will add it here. First I do thank the guys for posting their videos to help people save money on repairs. While all this information was very good it needs just a bit more. While he does go into the hose and it was apparently clogged, he never mentions that sorta clear canister the hose hooked to. Kenmore calls is an Air Dome, and if you tried blowing from the switch side towards that, heard no air flow and about blew your cheeks out then it is plugged. I found a fix from another guy with a GE with same problems. The solution was a can of compressed air. I tried it, heard a pop in just a few seconds (no clue what it was but all works fine) blew through the hose again and I could hear air flowing in the canister/air dome. Put it back together, did test runs and the machine filled and shut off at the proper levels every time. This was on an older Kenmore and I do not know what new ones use or look like, but I know it solved my problem after going through all the related steps. Hope that will be helpful to some others a no where I could find, is there any information on the part of the machine being an issue.

Thank you for this vid. I have a smaller unit and has similar parts. It ended up the hose was disconnected due to wear and looks like the clamp needs replacement. And I believe the spin cycle caused it to come off especially when out of balance. I snipped the worn end of the hose and reinstalled it. Who knows how much a service tech would’ve charged me. Thanks again.
