Justin’s humour and timing is so excellent honestly. His delivery is just incredible 😂 he has to be the funniest guy on the podcast out of everyone. Guy is just that person who everyone wants on the podcast all the time 👍 coz he’s guy😂 Fouad is just an excellent host. His ability to communicate with everyone effectively and make everyone laugh and switch topics and speak so effortlessly making everyone feel welcome is just fantastic. Props to you man!!! Your an expert host, I hope u realise there’s people out here who watch u and notice your skills too!! And Jose is always honest when giving opinions which I respect and when he joins in on the banter too, it’s always great to hear from him ahaha. Love the podcast honestly.

I'm training a 15 year old kid right now, he wants to pack on muscle and he is always asking me these crazy questions he hears about on social media and I have to help correct him. He has two friends on gear already at 15!! I told him to stay away from gear that young, and there is a lot of personal responsibility in taking gear. There are consequences to our decisions and we need understand them on a very deep level. It's a shame how hard it is to find good information on cycles and protocols. Educate not regulate.

Glad you brought up the pet peeves in the gym. It is such a common issue now of all gyms having guys taking their shirts off for videos or pics, not using a particular posing room. Even working out while shirt off and believing its normal. It's so annoying going to the gym daily walking around tri pods or around cameras for every "insta famous" gym goer. Many also disrespect the fact some of us do not want to be in videos or maybe we privately do not want others to know where we are. Please preach more of etiquettes and a purpose in a gym!! 🙏🙏

When you’re paying someone for a cycle, its their job to know how it work and whats safer and not. If you have to study yourself the point of paying someone for the job goes away

Yes its their job to give you the best advice. That doesn't mean they assume responsibility over your health. Thats why most coaches have their clients sign waivers. Coaches aren't medical professionals, they aren't supposed to know your health better than you. Thats what your dr, health care professional is for.
@chuckv1z1
@chuckv1z1 Жыл бұрын
The discussion about modern gym culture / pet peeves is spot on. It's so different now than even just 5-10 years ago, people are always stripping down and posing in the gyms, pretending the entire facility is there just for them, etc.. I think it's a cultural shift and since we've all spent so much time in the gym environment, this is just how we see it reflected. And yes, it's extremely frustrating and hard to determine when to ask someone to reel things in and be more courteous. For me, it doesn't matter what you're wearing or how you're utilizing the gym as long as your behavior isn't impacting anyone else's workout or safety. Once that line is crossed, it's your obligation to respectfully stop the behavior.

It's interesting hearing your perspective on filming in the gym & what qualifies you to do that. Tbh I almost never film in the gym unless it's almost empty or there's no-one close by and I just prop my phone against something. Usually I'll just take a photo at home or in the gym bathroom if I do want to take one 😅. I have the most below average physique but for me, as much much as I am a huge fan of bodybuilding, I've never competed and the only reason I post is 1) as a means of documenting my years of training and 2) for my close friends to inspire them into thinking about their health and fitness. If there's a chance I've even given 2 or 3 of my close friends the confidence they need to get in the gym or think about their diet then that's a success for me 🥰
@kanewills9604
@kanewills9604 Жыл бұрын
That being said, my gym is also a very small/almost a beginner gym. I have never seen a tripod or anyone topless there in my 5 years training there so it's not part of the culture. I've stuck around bc I've grown to like the community and the familiar faces.

I feel Justin's pain.... My gym has basically turned into a daycare at all hours of the day. Dozens of little high school kids working out 6 deep hitting one set of an exercise and doing pose downs in the mirror with each other for the next 5 minutes. Taking their shirts off to hit sets and record each other... and these are kids who have been in the gym for probably less than 6 months, and have little to no muscle. The bullshit thats being flooded into these kids heads nowadays is ridiculous.

Yeah during the summer my gym turned into a zoomer camp with pretty much all you just described. I give them a little bit of slack because kids are goofy, and alot don't get out of it till their mid 20s lol. Alot of the problem is the "aestestics" lifting part of youtube where they produce cloned teenagers and 20 year Olds.
