I’m hoping to use this unit to heat a 300gallon tank which should be a good comparison.

I see a problem in the water cooling the flue which works counter to increasing the draw of air into the bottom. If you run a fan on the combustion chamber shouldn't be a problem, but if you're depending on natural aspiration, might be an issue. Look forward to seeing your progress.

I did anticipate that at startup, that is why I added the extra 48” length of pipe to try to counter it. There is 64” of flue but only 13” passing through the water jacket, the other 51” will hopefully maintain draft. 🤞
