i found a way to make these virtually silent, the noise all comes from the high velocity oil and air right at the nozzle, if you put a plate into the burn chamber probably 6 to 12 inches in right infront of the nozzle, not sure how but by dethatching the flame from the burner it gets rid of that low tone howl they all have, it literally then just sounds like compressed air and almost no noise

I think that people in colder climates will love this. Out of curiosity, do you centerfuge your waste oil to clean it, do you strain it, or process it in some way to remove impurities or particulates? P.S. In the near future I hope to buy one of your nozzles for a home iron smelting foundry.

Hello Friend , no this system does not require any filtering at all . I have filtered oil one time in my life and said no way am i doing this . My design uses geometry large enough to pass small bugs and dirt .

Always use an exhaust evacuation Fan... extremely important... this way you won't blow yourself up or light yourself on fire...

It doesnt do that with the pre heater relocated. the oil mus be over 200 f for that type of flammability

Oil needs a preheat the best waste oil burners use an air nozzle you can buy a Chinese or a knockoff one for a few hundred bucks they work perfect and the fuel is free what more can you ask for

I use a coffee maker heating element for my preheater. Cheap easy and reliable. Since this video is have added a PID controller to the preheater so i could dial in an exact and more steady preheat temperature than the bimetal thermostat could provide.
