As a member of the so-called boomer generation, I try to keep an open mind with the younger generations. I get it, TikTok vids like the NPC trend are similar to dopamine shots. It's very addicting. Honest opinion though, our society seems to be heading to a point where there's a blurred line between virtual reality and real life. We can see it happening now with face swaps, voice changers, filters, etc. We made great progress with technology, but I wonder if the average human mind has learned to "keep up" with it. TikTok users are predominantly kids and teenagers. Granted there are also adults but they're also doing the same things the kids do. Also, by keeping up with it, is it just like any kind of addiction where you just can't stop because you're always looking for the next best thing. Another thing, with AI coming into the picture, will humans still get to decide for themselves, or will they just follow what the computer says what's best for them. Are we really evolving as a society or heading towards singularity? P.S. I really need to get some sleep...
