Watch Again: UN Special Rapporteur holds briefing on West Bank and Gaza

Francesca Albanese, United Nations Special Rapporteur on the Palestinian Territories Occupied Since 1967, held a briefing on her report to the UN Human Rights Council.
Ms Albanese told the council on Tuesday 26 March that she believed that Israel's military campaign in Gaza since 7 October 2023 amounted to genocide and called on countries to immediately impose sanctions and an arms embargo.
Israel, which did not attend the session, rejected her findings.

These journalist are clearly reluctant to admit the validity of her report, which by the way, is simply a systematic outlining of what most people with a conscience and rudimentary observation capacity have also noticed and realized, which is that no matter what legal term you want to use, whether it's genocide or not, there is an atrocity happening before our eyes that demand accountability. As a European, I'm getting secondhand embarrassment that my fellow "western society" , at least its institutions, are still mostly deluding themselves about what's happening. But as a Swiss, I'm proud that my country continue to be the place where real discussions on issues of ethics, international law, and human rights, are held.
